AVENGERS: Super Soulmates.

PART 3.

TONY POV:
We're all eating a late lunch together when JARVIS interrupts "Sir, a group of HYDRA has been spotted." We all put down our cutlery to listen, apart from Thor, who just keeps eating "Where?" "Cornwall, Sir." "Where?" "It's in England, the very southwestern tip, Sir." "Right. What are they doing there?" "Hunting, perhaps. They were seen with guns heading into a forest just a few minutes ago." Spangles stands "Suit up." We quickly finish our lunch, grab our gear and head for the quinjet.

A few hours later we start to slow down, I question Legolas "Is this the place?" He nods "These are the coordinates JARVIS gave me." We land and get out of the quinjet. The sun is starting to set, so we pull out flash lights and head into the forest, we creep around looking for HYDRA. After searching for a while in our smaller groups I hear a squelch under my foot, I look down to see a dead rabbit "Well, if they're hunting then they obviously didn't want this rabbit." Legolas stops beside me "Yikes. They were definitely aiming for it though, it's a good shot, straight into the brain."

Why would they hunt but not take their prize? Why were they even hunting here? Do they have a base nearby? Can't they just buy their food from a store like normal people?

We regroup, only Nat and Thor aren't with us yet, Spangles sighs "Well, if they were here then they aren't anymore, there's no one in this forest." I speak up "But there was. Legolas and I found a bunny with it's brains blown out." Everyone has a sorry look on their face. Nat speaks through our earpieces "Guys, we've found something." After giving us directions we make our way to the pair, when we get there nothing seems out of the ordinary, but Thor is looking up at the tree, so I stand beside him and look up "Cool."

I've always wanted to have a treehouse, I wonder who made it.

A wooden building is well-hidden amongst the leaves of a tall tree, Nat speaks "It's not HYDRA's, but it was someone's and recently." I question her "How do you know that?" "I had a look inside, go on up." I don't see a rope or ladder so I use my suit to fly me up, I then open a wooden hatch and just about squeeze through, I land and wave my flashlight around. Inside is an old fashioned, cracked bathtub, which has bits that have broken off it, it's filled with leaves, like it's used as a bed. There are two large painless windows and the rest is space, not much space but there isn't anything else up here.

This is so cool!

Spangles pokes his head in "Wow, this is nice. Buck, come look!" The pair climb in properly. There's barely enough room for the three of us, so I head back down. On the ground I notice something hidden below some leaves, I only noticed it because the light was bouncing off the blade "Guys, there's a blade down here." The pair come back down and we gather around, Metallica carefully uncovers it and picks it up "This dagger is HYDRA made." There's blood on the blade and it's not a little amount, I notice some on some leaves "We might have a blood trail."
