The following morning, most of the tomb vampires had made their way to the farmhouse. Mallory walked down the stairs and through the hallway to see Bethanne pouring herself a drink, "Bethanne," She greeted the female vampire before continuing to walk through.

She noticed one of the vampires getting a haircut from a hairdresser Mallory had compelled while others were choosing some clothes from the pile Mallory had obtained from the boutique in town.

In the living room, Anna was helping two vampires use a remote control. Mallory sent her a smile and kept walking through the house as she checked up on everyone.

Anna soon stopped helping the vampires and followed after Mallory, "Mallory, there's something we need to talk about!" Anna informed her and Mallory turned to her.

"What is it?" Mallory questioned curiously.

Just then, Mallory was interrupted when she heard a message from Jeremy playing on her phone in the dining room, "Hey, Mallory, it's me, Jeremy, um, once again. I haven't heard from you in a while, uh, call me when you get the chance."

Mallory sped into the room and snatched the phone from Pearl and Harper, "I didn't break it, I swear." Harper tried to tell her as Mallory quickly turned off the message.

"I was just showing Harper what you taught me," Pearl informed her friend with a large smile on her face, "What a marvelous device!"

"Who was that?" Harper asked Mallory curiously.

Mallory didn't answer the question and soon enough, Anna entered, "Jeremy Gilbert." She answered for Mallory, who gave her a glare.

Harper turned to Mallory with a curious look on his face, "Is that your boyfriend?" he asked her concerned.

Pearl quickly stood up, "Of course not. Mallory would never be that stupid." She quickly butted in, causing Mallory to sigh.

Pearl turned to her daughter and Mallory, smiling, "What do you girls think?" She questioned, gesturing to her pants suit.

"You look like a very respectable businesswoman," Mallory complimented her friend and Anna nodded her head in agreement.

"That's the goal," Pearl replied, "I can't say that I miss corsets."

"Susie Sunshine gave me her car keys," Anna spoke up as she turned to glance at Mallory, "So we don't have to worry about Mallory driving. She also gave me her ATM card."

"What's that?" Pearl questioned as she placed her pocketbook over her shoulder.

Anna and Mallory shared a glance before turning back to Pearl once more, "We'll explain later." Anna replied, causing the three females to chuckle.

As they began to walk toward the front door, Frederick stepped in front of them, "Where are you going?" He asked them.

"The three of us have some business in town. We'll be back as soon as we can," Mallory informed the male vampire, "As the oldest vampire I've turned here aside from Pearl and Anna, I trust that you'll keep an eye on things for me."
