Mallory impatiently waited at Alaric's apartment door, continuing to bang on the invisible barrier, "Come on!" She shouted out, causing Katherine, who was compelled to sit on the chair in the middle of the room And stab herself repeatedly, to sigh out.

Mallory groaned, giving up before walking over to sit on the couch. She glanced out the window, only to see that it was now nighttime, meaning the dance had already started, "I'm screwed," She whispered to herself, just before Klaus, possessing Alaric's body, entered.

He seemed a bit beat up and there was some dried blood near his mouth and nose. He clearly had gotten into a fight with someone she presumed to be Bonnie.

Klaus smirked at the sight of Mallory, "Well, well. What do we have here?" He spoke up and Mallory immediately stood up, balling her hand into a fist as she tried to keep herself calm.

"Klaus," Mallory suddenly said after a moment of silent, her voice just above a whisper.

"Something told me you would be figuring everything out soon enough," Klaus told Mallory with a smile on his face, pouring himself a glass of bourbon, "Would you like some?"

Mallory remained silent, shaking her head. She continued to do so until she couldn't bear the silence any longer, "If you're going to kill me, just get on with it, would you?" She raised her voice to him, "Because if you think I'm going to be your little foot soldier, you're wrong, Klaus."

Klaus walked over to Mallory, standing just inches away from her. They were mere inches apart and Mallory stared up at him, showing no fear toward the Original Vampire. He looked into her eyes, beginning to compel her. Little did he know, she had consumed vervain and wore some on her at all times, "Now that it is nightfall, the boundary spell locking you in this apartment is down. Go to the Salvatore House. Fetch Elijah's body and bring him to me. I'd like to lock away his body before he can be un-daggered."

"I get it to leave?" Mallory asked, her eyes wide.

"Yes--" Before Klaus could finish his sentence, Mallory had sped out of the house, causing him to look at the door amused.

"Well, I was not expecting that," Klaus commented, letting out a scoff.

The following day, after making it so that it was believed by Klaus that she had fled town, Mallory knocked on the front door of the Salvatore Boarding House. Soon enough, Stefan opened it with Elena by his side, both of them looking confused, "Where the hell have you been?" Stefan asked his sister, "We thought you left town to escape Klaus."

"More like, I got trapped in Alaric's apartment by a spell and was almost kept prisoner by Klaus," Mallory corrected him.

"How did you manage to escape?" Elena questioned Mallory concerned.

"She outsmarted him," A voice suddenly spoke up, causing the group to turn to see Elijah standing there. Mallory seemed shocked to see Elijah alive and well while Elena and Stefan did not, "Just as she's done numerous times over the course of eight centuries."

"Since when was Elijah un-daggered?" Mallory spoke up and Stefan sighed.

"We'll explain later," Stefan replied, "Right now, Elijah's about to tell us the story of Klaus."

Mallory sat with Elena and Stefan in the library as Elijah told them information about Klaus and the ritual, "We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse," He told them and Mallory nodded.
