"Absolutely not!" Damon argued after hearing about Elena's plan.

"Just hear me out." Elena insisted.

"I'm not gonna give the device to Isobel so she could give it to John who is going to turn it to kill me," Damon argued, "I like being a living dead person."

Damon turned to Mallory, "Don't you, Mal?"

Mallory nodded, turning her head to glance at Stefan and Damon after looking at Damon, "Yeah, I actually do. A lot." She agreed with Damon.

"But it'll be useless, Bonnie can take its power away." Elena tried to convince Damon.

"I don't trust her," Damon commented and Mallory was quick to agree.

"Not that my opinion counts or anything, but neither do I," Mallory spoke up, earning an annoyed look from Stefan while Damon smiled.

"See, at least someone here has a half a brain." He remarked.

"I can remove the original spell," Bonnie spoke up, causing the whole group to turn to her.

"John and Isobel will never know." Elena added in.

"No," Mallory argued, shaking her head, "We can get Jeremy in my own way. I'm great at plans."

"Really? How are you going to do that, huh?" Stefan questioned his sister, "Because Isobel is a vampire and if she's working with Katherine, that means she can be just as ruthless as you, which means Jeremy could be dead the second you walk in the door."

"Are you even up for this, little witch?" Mallory questioned, averting her gaze to Bonnie, "I mean no offense, but you're no Emily Bennett. Emily knew what she was doing. She was a very powerful witch, probably one of the most powerful in your bloodline. You...You just learned that you were a witch not even four months ago."

"I've been practicing," Bonnie informed her and Mallory couldn't help but scoff.

"It's not piano lessons, honey," Damon commented.

Bonnie walked over to Damon and Malloy before averting her attention to Damon, "What's your favorite book?"

"What?" Damon asked her confused.

"Name a book, any book," Bonnie insisted.

Damon smirked as he turned to Mallory, "It's not really considered a book, but one of Mallory's oldest journals is hidden in this library. It's from 1692."

Bonnie concentrated on the books in front of her and until finally, Mallory's journal came flying out and into Damon's hand. Damon turned the book on its side to read its title, "1692," He spoke up before glancing at Bonnie, "Great parlor trick."

With that, Damon tossed it off to the side, causing Mallory's eyes to widen in shock, "Damon!" She exclaimed, "That journal is older than you, you can't just throw it!"
