Hai guys. So....I haven't updated in a while. :( I've been going through some really rough times. I might be needing therapy for it. I don't really want to get into that, because it's stressful. Message me if you want because I really need someone to talk to. Besides that, on with the story! :) Thank you so much. Comment, vote and fan. :3

---Chris's POV---

I stood outside of Natalie's lawn. What was she doing with her? Out of breath and exhausted, I hid behind the bushes and tried to look through the windows. I could hear screaming and cussing coming through the upstairs. My heart pounded with fear. Something's not right.

There was absolutely no way I could sneak in the house without getting caught. I knew Kaitlyn was in trouble, but how can I save her? I had an idea. I jumped the gate that led to the back of the house. I landed on my hands, causing them to get scraped along the concrete. I brushed them off on my jeans.

"ARFFFARFFFARFF!" I jumped a little. I turned around to find a big black dog barking at me. Oh crap. He looks like a guard dog.

"Shut up!" I commanded. His food bowl had the name "Sweetie" written on it. How ironic.

Finally I got that damn dog to shut up. I hoped one of the windows was open. I tugged at the latch. Nope. It was shut. At the corner of my eye, i saw my solution.

Sweetie's doggy door. Sweetie's a big dog, and it looked big enough for me to fit my skinny ass through it.

On my hands and knees, I wedged myself through it. YES. I was in the house. I looked around and nobody seemed to be home. I've been at Natalie's house before. I'm pretty sure her room is upstairs.

Yup, it was. I remember how soft and girly it was. Slowly entering the room, I heard soft crying.

I felt all my insides drop at the sight of Kaitlyn curled up on her side, COVERED in cuts and bruises. I fell on my knees beside her, and ran my fingers through her hair.

"Baby, what happened? Who did this?" I leaned in to kiss her forehead. She tried to speak, but only soft sounds came out. She lifted her aching arm to point at a photo of a girl on a nearby desk. Natalie, of course.

So many emotions ran through my head. I was angry, upset, pissed off, confused, sad, and every other word of that nature.

"W-Why would she do this?" I asked. I couldn't help it anymore. I tried to be strong, but my eyes had let the tears spill down my cheeks.

"Don't know," she whispered.

I took her hands and held them.

"You'll be okay."

I heard footsteps coming into the room. Oh no.

There she was, my ex-girlfriend, stumbling at the doorway obviously in a drunken state. She caught me in her sight and looked disgusted.

"Why are you here?" she asked angrily.

I stood up, ready to stand up to her. I was terrified. She's drunk-she could beat me up, rape me, or maybe she even has a shotgun!

"I'm here to save my girlfriend. Look what you've done to her! What the f**k?"

"I hate her!" she stated. Kaitlyn began to softly cry again.

"She...deserves to be punished. She stole my boyfriend."

"No, you cheated on me, you slut. What is your problem?"

"I love you!" before I knew it, my lips were mashed up against hers. I pushed her off of me, staying away from her bed as much as possible.

"I wanted you back, Chris. But she ruined it. So that's what I did."

"Natalie, I love her. She's true to me. Next time you have a problem, just know that words are kinder than weapons. I just can't believe you hurt my baby."

"Whatever," she mumbled and left her room.

"Thanks, baby," Kaitlyn whispered. I kissed her lips softly.

"Come on, let's get you home." I scooped up the beaten up girl in my arms and carried her out. I'm going to have to do a lot of explaining to do to Ms. Reed.

Hope ya liked it! Tell me in the comments. It really means a lot. I will try to keep this updated. Thanks for reading. (:
