---Kaitlyn's POV---

I couldn't breathe. I was being held so tightly in Chris's arms and all the air was coming out of my body.

"Babe, calm down! Its not like I'm leaving for a year. It's only five days!" After saying it out loud, five days sounded like a long time away...especially from Chris. And to be all the way in New York. I felt my eyes water a little bit.

"Ugh, Kait! Hurry up! The plane leaves in five minutes!" Rocki shouted.

"I'm sorry. I have to go." I gave him one last hug and a kiss before I caught up with Roc to board the plane. My mom is sending me and Rocki to spend time with our aunt in New York and see what life is like in a big city. She thinks it's good for us to break out our little town, Joplin. I sighed.

"You okay?" Rocki asked as we went into the luggage line.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I just miss Chris already, that's all."

"It's okay. It's only five days. You'll see him soon."

I just nodded my head in agreement as we got our luggage checked and went to get on the plane.

---Few Hours Later---

"Kait. We're here." Rocki's voice said. I opened my eyes and stretched. I didn't even realize I fell asleep. We grabbed our luggage from the cubbies over our heads. Once we stepped out of the plane, BAM! We were in the Big Apple. I was amazed. Instead of small roads with barley any cars, there was a sea of cars and mostly bright yellow taxi cabs that flooded the streets. Instead of the quietness, you were actually able to hear life happening.

"Woah," Rocki whispered. "Where are we?"

"In my dream haven," I replied.

"Come on! We gotta catch a cab to Aunt Rosie's house!" she yelled and grabbed my arm. It was a little hard to keep up with her. We walked up the streets where tall buildings reached the sky. The smell of cigarettes, (which reminded me of Chris) hot dog stands, and fresh bakeries greeted my nose as we roamed the streets, trying to hail a cab.

Finally, we caught one. We practically had to jump on cars to get inside.

"Where ya guys off to?" the cab driver asked. His New York accent was awesome.

Rocki read the adress to him and we drove off. As we drove, my head was out the window the whole time. It was amazing.

"We're hear!" Rocki shouted. The cab driver pulled into a stop and helped us unload our suitcases. We were parked in front of a big apartment building.

"Um, where do we go?" I asked, sounding like a total idiot.

"She said she would be down here..." Rocki replied helplessly.

Within a few moments, a tall, thin, pretty, red-headed woman appeared at the front entrance. She approached us.

"Hi girls. You must be Rocki and Kaitlyn. I'm your Aunt Rosie," she said with a smile. I already liked her.

"Rocki! I haven't seen you in five years! And Kaitlyn, the last time I saw you you couldn't even talk! Now you're a young lady!" she said and pulled us into a big hug.

"Come on girls, let's get you inside to unpack." We followed her upstairs to her loft. She showed us around. It was very nice and New York-ish. Haha.

"This is where you girls will be sleeping," she said and led us into an empty guest room. It looked like a hotel room. It had two queen sized beds, it's own bathroom, a desk, and a big TV.

"Take a look at this," Aunt Rosie said and walked over to a large curtain. She pulled it and boom. A beautiful view of the city. It seemed unreal. The buildings scraped the sky. The bright lights looked beautiful in the night sky. The cars on the streets moved so fast that they looked like blurrs of lights.

It was at least twenty minutes that me and Rocki stayed there just watching to view like it was a movie. We were small town girls, not big city kids.

Sorry this was short! :/ there will be more soon! Please comment!! :)
