CROSSROADS

I walked alone with an empty heart
Following patterns to a quiet art

I breathe and try to forget all your traces
Wandering to other streets and places

This road is nostalgic and the same
Memories of you still appears in lanes

Our past haunted me along the way
Reminding me of those old bitter days.

Bitter had ruined our sweetest blend Choosing someone made our story end

My skin could also feel your airy cold
Freezing my heart with a strongest hold

A hold that I couldn't grab on like a rope
I was too weak for there's no hope

How could I escape this and survive?
I tried to move on, restore, and revive

Like an nightmare, it couldn't be gone
Your tattoo marked into my bones

So deeply it hurts my broken insides
Suffocating me into these diurnal tides

Reckless tears had wrecked my life
It cuts me slow with your sharp knife

A knife had sliced our beautiful cords
Boy, you sadly left me in the crossroads

A/N : I dedicated this piece to lullabels (Hazel) for she inspires me to write a poem about crossroads.

It's somehow nostalgic and melancholy at the same time. It's a was lovely poem for me.

Hope you guys like this one.
