Third person POV:
After the events, they all went home to a stressed out Leo.It was probably five p.m. when they got back. Kaelie and Julius took a shower and Matt sat next to Leo, when he heard him mumbling angry words directed to nobody in particular.
"Leo...is everything good?"
"Define good. Actually you know what, call the others instead I need you all here."
Matt nodded and went to fetch the idiots who are probably done taking a bath now.
Kaelie opened up in her pyjamas and a towel wrapped around her head.
Then Julius, with his sleeping clothes on.He told them that Leo called on them and it seems important.
They all took a seat around the island where Leo was examining files and photos.
Kaelie POV:
"Leo, we heard that you needed us.""Well you heard correctly. After days of slacking, we finally have a case. I thought it was one of those easy to understand murders, it wasn't."
He threw the files to each of us, and gave us some of the photos he got ahold of.
I took a look at it and it certainly was weird. There were six bodies in total, each have the same mark, same stab wounds, same burnt hands and unrecognizable face. I scrunched up my face.
Julius examined it closely, and Matt looked over the files again.
"This is...new."
"Yeah they seem to be a group of people, not a professional but they have something."
"What do you mean they? Obviously 'they' is just one person."
"No guys look." We all looked at what Julius was pointing at."There are differences on the stab wounds and the symbols aren't identical."
"So, different stab wounds and not identical way of drawing, of course there will be differences, humans aren't perfect you know?"
"I beg to differ. As annoying as it seems Julius might be right." He showed us the files, "There are differences on how the victims head were bashed. Some had a deep indent while others were just to give a concussion."
I gave them a look as if to say 'really, that's where you're basing it?'
"Plus, according to the files there were traces of nail polish to some of the bodies. and some had cigar traces while others don't. And the most evident, was the hand marks on their necks."
"Wait there is?" I took the photos and examined them again, there they were hand marks caused by strangulation specifically on their necks. This...baffled me.
"Leo,where is Diane. She just abruptly left this morning."
"Probably in court, but she's going home right now."
Matt was obviously uncomfortable, this was our first serious case. He didn't want to screw up and I understand that.
Julius all of a sudden put his hand on my shoulder, I glared at him. He put his hands up in defeat and walked to the other side of the table.
A few moments later...
We finally finished looking over the case files and just relaxed in the living room watching T.V.I was snuggled in a comforter drinking hot chocolate. I was not in the mood to eat dinner.
Diane got back a few minutes ago with Chinese food. Matt and Leo are with her, Julius is in his room and as I mentioned I am still snuggled up on the couch.
When I got sleepy, I bid them all goodnight, then went to my bedroom. I passed out as soon as I lay down.
Julius POV:
"Ok...You lot must be mad at me, especially Leo." Everyone glared at me and I heard a few growls from them."But. I got information about the case. I think we got a lead." They all gave me annoyed, disappointed or disapproving looks. As if I didn't get enough of those alreadyOk let me explain through a flashback;
After discussing all the possibilities of the case that we were currently handling, I immeadiately went to my room. And thoroughly searched my mind palace for a possible outcome.Yes I think. I'm not dumb.
Then an idea dinged inside my head.
I surveyed the marks or symbols etched on their bodies and asked my boy, Pietro, to look it up.
He said he found a copy from the classified police documents, in the police department.
I groaned. This thing just got worse.
But I still snuck out of the house when I was sure all of them were asleep. I guess you should all know that I added a bit of ammonia in the air-conditioning unit to help deepen their nappy times. Then got to the station which was unfortunately closed, but hey I didn't go through five years of being a criminal for nothing. I picked the lock and went inside. It took a few falling down and muttering curse words until I got the files and a weird...mixtape? I just hurried down, but a file got me curious. It was labelled the 'St.Martin Car wreck', I also took that.
I probably had too much fun when I got to the computers though. I deleted some files, locked them out of their own database and all the good stuff. I eventually left while taking a box of donuts.
I told them the same exact story, but leaving the part where I took the St. Martin Files.
Leo groaned, honestly I expected that. "What you did doesn't make any sense."
"It does make sense...in a way. But trust me this is a lead. My informant told me so."
Kaelie lazily looked up to me and leaned against the wall beside her. "Intresting information you got there,J. Please do tell of what you got from that."
"Well for starters, Matt was right. They are a group of people. Trust me it's a very boring file, I looked into it and then found an interesting detail. The marks are very similar to a gang at west side of town."
"Which is.."
"Good question, Diane."
A few minutes went by.
"So are you gonna answer or-"
"I don't have the answer."
"Why did I expect this to happen." I hear Kaelie mumble to herself.
"It's the Mad Hogs gang."
Everyone stared at Matt and he stood there proudly.
"So...I presume Julius has formulated a plan. What would it be Julius?" Leo asked. I tensed a bit and tried not to show signs of discomfort.
"It involves Kaelie."
"Ugh! Why me?"
"Because we are going to seduce them. I found out that specific gang has this, event held every thursday. It's called happy hour. They go to this bar where they celebrate stuff and yeah."
"Ok we get your plan but when do we start getting ready?" Diane somehow made me more confident. I raised my eyebrow in a taunting way and smirked at no one in particular. I saw Kaelie give me a weirded out look.
"Now."
"I prefer that you won't say it in an evil guy kind of way. It scares me a lot."
"Oh really? How much does it scare you Matty boy?"
I laughed so hard and we started talking about the plan in depth all day.
