Taehyung thought he's been doing pretty well on the whole 'hide in my room for as long as possible' plan. Of course he came out for meals or whenever a family member needed him, but for the most part he was in his room reading, coloring, or playing on his phone.

Anyways, it wasn't like he was alone all the time, because kai would come in his room and hang out with him too. Anything to keep him busy while trying to avoid his mate, right?

taehyung didn't know how suspicious it looked with kai going in and out of his room constantly, but it's not like it was a big deal to either of them anyways. Kai has a mate who he loves and adores with all of his heart. Taehyung and him have just been best friends ever since they were little and, of course, he was also very protective of the younger male.

Despite taehyung being oblivious to the rumors surrounding kai and him, kai was well aware. He was also very aware of the Themis future alpha's annoyance and anger towards him, although he wasn't totally aware why he acted that way. It seemed as though every time kai walked towards or into taehyungs room, jungkook was always there.

Kai didn't understand, because from his perspective it looked like jungkook didn't want him there at all, which made no sense because whenever he saw jungkook he also saw jimin. So why would he seem jealous if he already had a boyfriend??

On the other hand, jimin obviously noticed his friend was avoiding him - and everyone for that matter- and felt slightly upset by it. He had tried to go and talk to him, and would talk with him when he came out of his room, but either kai was there or taehyung would tell him "he wasn't in the mood."

After their first encounter, jimin tried to avoid kai at all costs. But that made it harder to be around his friend, because 'mr.muscle man' was always around. He talked about it a little with jungkook, but his boyfriend didn't seem to care, so he just shut off his sadness and figured taehyung would talk to him when he was ready.

Today was as normal as the past few days had been. Taehyung woke up, got breakfast, and went back into his room. Kai was due to visit him any minute now, just like clockwork.

Hearing a knock on his door, taehyung opens it to find his older friend.

"KAI BEAR!"

"TAE BEAR!"

Dragging kai over to his bed, taehyung sat facing his friend.

"Today your last day?" The younger asks, saddened.

Nodding his head, kai replies, "yeah, gotta go back bud. But I'm sure you won't be far behind me!"

Kai was apart of the other house that was slightly destroyed, but because it was mostly outer damage, it was all fixed and he was leaving the next day to go back home.

Taehyung was jealous, but he knew the process on the main house would take a lot longer- considering it was nothing but ashes.

Sighing, taehyung flings himself onto his back. Kai laughs at the youngers attitude, but reaches over to rustle his hair around.

"I don't want you to leaveeee," whines taehyung, "who am I gonna hang out with now?!"

"Aw don't be so dramatic. What about your brothers? Or yoongi?" Kai offers, "anyways. I really don't think my stay has been welcomed here this whole time, so its probably for the best that I'm leaving now."

Sitting back up, taehyung looks at his friend with curiosity, "what do you mean?"

"Nothing, nothing. Just.. that jungkook guy doesn't seem too fond of me." The older laughs it off.

Rolling his eyes, taehyung lays back down, "I don't think he's fond of anyone... not like I care anyways. But he's still a brat."

"You know him?" This was interesting to kai, as he never knew his friend to have ever spoken to the person at subject.

Hesitating, taehyung answers, "n-no. It's just... what I've observed. That's all."

Shrugging off the youngers weariness, kai changes the subject, "so, what do you wanna do today?"

"Well, since it's your last day, how bout we go outside for a change? I doubt once your gone I'll have anyone else to protect me from the horny betas, and I should get out before then," taehyung jokes, but also says with sincerity.

"Cool!" Kai jumps up, "and don't worry little bro. I got your back" he winks, laughing.

Rolling off the bed, taehyung mutters, "yeah, yeah, don't get cocky."

"You know I love youuuu"

"SHUSH! Go downstairs and wait for me. Im gonna change real quick"

"Yes sir!" Kai solutes.

Pouting but being entertained by his friends teasing, taehyung pushes him out of his room before heading to his closet to change for his day out.
