Another "short" chapter ig? Idk, whenever I say short I just mean less than 1000 words, bc all of mine are over that so...

"Jimin.. I don't know what to say. I'm- I'm so sorry" taehyung cries out. The two males were sitting on taehyungs bed and facing each other. Taehyung clutched a pillow to his chest, hands fumbling with the pillow case.

"Tae. Tae, I really like you okay? You were such a great friend to me when everyone was gone, and I had so much fun with you,"

"Me- me too Minnie..."

Hearing the nickname, jimin gets soft inside, "god. This fucking sucks."

Taehyung giggles, "yeah- it really does."

"Look- I want you to know that I'm not going to try and force jungkook to stay away from you. Neither will I force him to reject you either okay? So please.. don't worry about that part anymore,"

Taehyung nods, and jimin continues, "as much as it... hurts... to see jungkook be with his mate, I want him to make the decision on his own. Because I don't want him to live with something he regrets..."

"I understand Minnie.. I was planning on giving him time too. Kai suggested so. But- but are you mad at me?"

Staring at the wall, jimin stays quiet for a couple of seconds, "No. No I don't tae. It's not your fault at all. This is our life- mate bonds... they're special," he laughs a little, "and it just so happens my boyfriends mate was on the other side of town this whole time. Some never find their mate, some have to travel internationally... but you two? Got lucky I guess."

Having this sudden realization after jimins words, taehyung smiles a little,

Yeah... I guess I am lucky.

But... "what about you two?"

"What do you mean tae?"

"You still... I mean.. he's still-"

"Yeah.. yeah he's still my boyfriend..."

Taehyungs heart deflated a little, but it's not like he was expecting much either.

"But like I said. Jungkook- he's free to do what he pleases now. I guess.." jimin adds in quietly.

Taking jimins hands into his own, taehyung forces jimin to look into his eyes, "Minnie. I don't want you to get hurt. And- and I see that you already are hurting..." taking a deep breath he continues, "if you want... I can leave."

Jimins eyes widen, "what??"

"I- I can stay with kai. Or.. I dunno..."

"God, no tae, I don't want you to do that at all!" Jimin rushes to reply, worried. "You're staying and that's final. Jungkook and I- yeah we've been together forever.. but promises are made during any relationship. And so just like any other relationship... sometimes. Sometimes a breakup happens too."

Taehyung nods, understanding his friends words.

"But tae? Because it is like any other relationship- that's why we haven't broken up yet. I- I don't want to... and so jungkook is going to be the one to do so. If that is his wish... So- so I'm going to fight," taehyungs eyes become weary, but he understands, "I'm going to fight to have him stay. But I'm not going to do anymore than I've already been doing. I want him to stay for me, not because I beg or .. whatever. I hope you can understand that?" Taehyung nods slowly, "but I also wish for you to not be mad at me either. And that we can maintain our friendship as it was before, regardless of the time we are going through."

"Yes, I understand. And no minnie... I'm not mad either. I'm glad you want to be my friend. You- you are the first friend I've made who I truly feel special about." Taehyung fully smiles at jimin now.

Giving a wide grin back, jimin leans over to hug the younger.

The two start to laugh, releasing their hug, "oof, enough of that sad shit now," jimin says, "Hey. You wanna go downstairs and do something outside?"

But feeling tired again and not jumping at the chance to go back outside taehyung replies, "maybe we can do something tonight? Watch a movie or something?"

"Sure tae, that sound fun. Just the two of us!" Jimin agrees, standing to let the younger rest, "I'll see you later then!"

"Bye bye Minnie, see you!"

Jimin walks out and taehyung smiles to himself. He gets under the covers, falling asleep quickly; relieved that he doesn't have to worry about losing a friend, and ready to open up to his mate.
