The next day, we were introduced to someone who shouldn't be teaching an English class. Even Present Mic couldn't make it interesting. At lunch, I got to see Midoriya fanboy over the pro hero Lunch Rush, which I sparked a conversation with about different ways to make ramen. I usually do the cooking at home, so it's fun to see another perspective on something as simple as making noodles.
In the afternoon, the class we all came to U.A. for: Hero Basic Training. As soon as everyone got into their seats, we heard a familiar voice say a line everyone knew.
"I AM HERE! COMING THROUGH THE DOOR LIKE A HERO!" All Might announced as he made his presence known to the class. A collective gasp sounded from the students.
"Wow, so he really is a teacher this year!"
"This year is going to be totally awesome!"
Exclaimed two students who I don't know the names of yet.
"Hey, look! Is he wearing his silver age costume?" Another asked as All Might marched in.
"He's so amazing every time I see him!" I added.
"Welcome to the most important class at U.A. high! Think of it as heroing 101! Here you will learn the basics of being a pro! Let's get into it! Today's lesson will pull no punches!" All Might held up a card with the word battle printed on it, "But one of the keys to being a hero, looking good!" Oh no, costumes.
"Get yourselves suited up, and meet me at training ground beta!"
"Yes, sir!"

My costume was pretty simple. It consisted of black under armor made to regulate my skin temperature at 62 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the temperature I'm most comfortable at for any activity. I have a black backpack with a cute design Amaya made. Small swirls of wind and water decorated it with white and blue. Since it is a backpack, I can carry basic first aid stuff and such inside it. I have a thin button up jacket that is slightly bigger than I thought, but it worked out better than what I had in mind. It is mainly the same color as my hair, which is a light silvery blue, accented with a goldish yellow similar to my eye color lining the tight cuffs and the folded edges were the buttons meet. I have a pair of black gloves that are similar to the under armor, but they are made to withstand colder temperatures. I usually can't freeze things without giving myself frostbite, so the gloves are made to help with that. Oh, and the whole thing is water resistant. Dad and Kazuki insisted that we included that. My shoes are black sneakers but are extra insulated and have the same qualities as the rest of my costume. I couldn't decide on what to do for my face, but Amaya recommended a visor or helmet, so I went with a clear visor to cover my face from projectiles or any other such thing. It's clear so it doesn't obstruct my vision too much.
Yeah, my costume was simple, but really I couldn't think of major weaknesses. I got my quirk when I was ten years old, so I've only had about five years of part-time experimenting.
"Wow, these guys really know what they are doing." I mumbled looking over the sheets they sent back with all the information about the costume. It even says that the visor is super durable, and shouldn't break under even extreme stress! Awesome! As everyone was walking out, I saw so many different costumes! When I saw Midoriya's costume, I tried so hard not to burst out laughing. He looked like a rip off All Might mixed with some evil green rabbit thing.
"Pffffffft!" I slipped.
"What are you laughing at? Is it me?" I was walking next to Uraraka who stopped to look over her costume, "It's tighter than I wanted anyway..."
"No, it's not you, your costume really suits you! I like it! It's kind of funny how we virtually have the same headgear though. I just- I just had a funny thought!" I covered up how dopey Midoriya looked.
"Okay, if you say so... You look really cool in yours!" She replied.
"Nahh. I wanted to keep it simple for now. I want to leave space for any ideas I come up with for the future, you know?"
"That's pretty clever!"
"Iida looks so cool in that armor! It's perfect for him." I stated, seeing Iida in a full suit of armor. Uraraka nodded.
"Now that your ready, it's time for combat training! For this exercise, you will be split up into teams as good guys and bad guys, and fight two on two indoor battles!" All Might continued to explain the exercise, and drew lots to figure out teams. I was put on team F with this guy named Koda. He doesn't seem to talk, which worries me for our communication. I'm not good with sign language. I don't even know his quirk, which makes things extra difficult. All Might drew the first lot, and the first fight is Midoriya and Uraraka as heroes and Bakugou and Iida as the bad guys.
"Good luck, guys!" The rest of us headed to the monitor room to watch the battle.

"They're going to kill each other!" I screamed as Bakugou and Midoriya charged towards each other. Midoriya was doing fine at first, but Bakugou overpowered him with his superior combat ability.
"Stop, you two!" But it was too late, as they were already on a crash course. I looked up to see Uraraka grab onto a pillar. Was this some kind of plan? I looked down again to see Midoriya change the angle of his punch. Oh, he planed something aright. He activated his quirk and punched upwards, sending a powerful surge through the building, up to where Uraraka was. The pillar she was holding onto was freed and she used her quirk to lift it. Uraraka swung at the rubble like a baseball player hitting a home run.
"That's a pretty unique idea." I murmured. Uraraka used the rubble as a distraction and flew over Iida who didn't know what hit him as Uraraka hugged the weapon.
The first match was pretty interesting, as the hero team who won were both on the ground, and the villain team who was practically untouched.
