Chapter 23: Bluff

The hand villain started scratching at his neck, apparently thinking to himself.

"What's wrong? Not attacking me? Didn't you say you were going to clear this level earlier? Well come and get me, if you dare." All Might pressure the villain, who wasn't so confident now. The villain pulled back, his arms shaking.

"Man this is- is intense." Did I just hear Bakugou stutter? Put that one in the record books.

"As I expected. There's no reason for us to fight now. He'll handle this." Todoroki stated, implying that we get out of here.

"Come on, Midoriya. We should regroup with the others. The last thing we want to do is get taken hostage or get in his way." Kirishima called. Midoriya didn't move though. His eyes were locked on All Might.

"What, are you scared?" All Might took a small step forward. Neither villain made a move.

"Arg if only Nomu was here! He'd rush you right now, pound you into the ground without giving it a second thought." The hand villain started to violently scratch his neck. I think he does that for some kind of coping mechanism, or his neck is just really itchy.

"Tomura Shigaraki, please do not fret. Look at him. He has definitely weakened. Nomu's attacks were successful. He's on his own. And look, our underlings are recovering. We likely have a few minutes before their reinforcements appear. We haven't missed our chance to kill All Might!" Kurogiri pointed out to the hand villain, who Kurogiri just called Shigaraki. He stopped scratching at his neck.

"Yeah. Yeah, you're right. This is it. We have no choice. We have to do it now. I mean, the big end boss is right here." Shigaraki collected himself. Around us, the weaker villains started approaching us.

"I think All Might can hold his own against those two main guys. Let's make sure these dudes don't hurt anybody else." Kirishima activated his quirk again. Todoroki turned to Midoriya.

"Will you be joining us?" Todoroki asked him. Midoriya didn't answer.

"Hey, are you okay?" I questioned. Still no answer as Shigaraki ran at All Might.

"Consider this revenge for what you did to Nomu!" He yelled out, and Kurogiri followed suit opening a warp hole. Before I knew what happened, Midoriya was no longer standing on the ground next to us. He was in the air, between All Might and the two villains.

"Wha- He's such an idiot!" I exclaimed, getting a small approving look from Bakugou.

"Woah Midoriya!" Kirishima yelled out, his broken legs flopping around. That, is gross.

"DONT YOU TOUCH ALL MIGHT YOU STUPID VILLAIN!" Midoriya screamed, aiming a punch at Kurogiri's neck armor, but Shigaraki reached his hand through a warp and it was barely a few inches away from Midoriya's face. Again, I was in a situation where I couldn't help. Right before Shigaraki could make contact, a shot rang out. A bullet pierced through Shigaraki's hand, and Midoriya fell to the ground.

"They're here!" All Might declared, as more bullets flew from the pro hero Snipe's gun. He was standing right before the stairs lead down into the central area. I could see his brown cowboy hat sitting on top of his head. I could see all of the pro hero staff, Iida standing with them. Principle Nezu was sitting on one of the teacher's shoulders. Funny thing, he was some kind of small rodent that could talk and ran the best hero school in Japan.

Some of the villains attempted to start climbing the stairs, but Present Mic stepped foward, and let out an ear piercing, "YEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

"Aw man, the pros are here. It's game over for real. Lets go home and try when we ca-" Shigaraki stepped back, but he was knocked down when Snipe shot him in both arms and legs. Kurogiri blocked the rest of his shots.
