Sam's POV

"Hey, babe." I went to hug Hazel but she pulled away. "What? Did I do something wrong?"

"Did you tell Cameron that we had sex?" If I had been drinking water, I would've spit it out. You know, like a spit take.

"Of course not! Why?" I grabbed her hands. "What did Cameron say!" I started to get mad. What was up with him lately?

"Cameron was telling people we did. I'm pretty sure everyone thinks that." She rolled her eyes and sat down on my bed. "It just sucks. Why would Cameron, one of my closest friends, do this?" I sat next to her and pulled her into a hug.

"I don't know. He's gonna get what he deserves, though." I went to stand but she pulled me back down by my arm.

"Just let me talk to him. Okay? I'll take care of it. Don't do anything you would regret." I sat back down and sighed.

She was right.

"He's gonna regret this." She gave me a kiss and then left the room.

I was too anxious to go to bed so I ended up just watching tv.

Hazel's POV

Why would Cam say all of this? I knocked on his door and Nash answered.

"Hey. Do you want me to leave?"

"Yea. Thanks." I hugged him as he left. I walked in and closed the door. Cam looked up. When he saw it was me he looked back at his phone.

"Hey. I just talked to Sam." He looked up, worried. He knew that I knew. "Why would you lie about this, Cam?"

I sat down on his bed and he sat up. He looked ashamed and wouldn't look me in the eye.

"I don't," He messed with his hair. "I don't know!"

"Well, you must've had a reason at the time!"

He moved next to me and looked at me. He looked upset but had his jaw clenched.

"I just can't stand seeing you with Sam!" he quickly blurted out. My face froze, expressionless.

"Wha- What do you mean?"

"I like you, Hazel! A lot. And seeing you with Sam, it just kills me! It hurts knowing I'm not the one you kiss. It hurts not being the one you love!" He stood up and started pacing.

I was speechless.

"You don't have to say anything. I know you hate me." He stopped and looked at me.

I stood and went to hug him.

"I could never hate you! I'm upset about this, but I don't hate you."

"But you just don't like me the way I like you!" I was about to pull away but he held me tighter. He looked into my eyes and started leaning in.
