Matt's POV

"Asshole!"

"I said I was sorry!"

"That won't fix anything. Not this time. You were always so quick to question her and now you are the one who fucked up!" He was silent after I finished. I took a few deep breaths, failing to calm myself.

He just stared at his shoes. My jaw was sore from clenching it and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"You have to tell Hazel." No response. "Or I will."

His head shot up.

"Bullshit! You don't have the balls! Just stay out of it."

"It's too late now, Sam! And don't even think I wont. I'm gonna tell her. She needs to know. She deserves to know what a terrible scumbag you really are," I spat, storming out of the hotel room, slamming the door behind me.

I walked quickly down the hall and waited impatiently for the elevator. When I finally reached the lobby, I saw Hazel laughing with Shawn. She looked so happy.

Not for long, I thought.

Our eyes met from across the room and she gave me a smile. I stuffed my hands into my pockets and walked towards them. She noticed my body language and knew something was up. Shawn ended up going to the bathroom.

The second he left, Hazel gave me a concerned look.

"Are you okay? What's wrong, Matt." I didn't answer, not making eye contact. "Please, tell me what's going on!" The last words were said with more force. I actually jumped a bit at her sudden rise in volume.

"Hazel," I started. "Sam cheated on you."

The words came out bluntly and sharply. I saw her face go expressionless. Her mouth gaped open.

"What the hell are you talking about?" This time her voice was shaky and more of a whisper. This was killing me.

"I'm so sorry, Hazel,"i started again but she cut me off.

"How do you know?" She wasn't looking at me.

I thought carefully for what to say next. I couldn't be blunt about it. I don't want her to hurt even more.

I walked into Sam's room and was about to talk when I heard moaning. I was about to run out, thinking I had walked in on him and Hazel. I was walking out when the girl said his name. That was most definitely not Hazel's voice. I thought I was gonna be sick. I slammed the door and heard Sam say "shit". He ran around the corner to face me with a blanket wrapped around his waist. I just glared at him and walked out. He called after me but I waited until I saw the girl leave to go back into his room.

"I walked in on him." She winced at my words. I saw a single tear go down her cheek. I brought a hand up and wiped it away with my thumb. She wrapped her arms around my torso and I pulled her into a hug. She started to break down in my arms.

I decided to go somewhere private. We didn't need everyone giving us looks. I picked her up in my arms and walked to the elevator. Once we got to our floor we went into the room I was sharing with Carter. Luckily, he wasn't in there. We sat down on my bed and she kept hold of me.

Her cries hushed as I played with her hair. She lifted her head and looked at the makeup and wet spots on my shirt.

"I don't care about my shirt. It's fine." I said quietly. She gave me a crooked smile, which I knew was fake. "What are you gonna do?"

She looked down at her hands which were messing with the hem of her shirt.

"I have to talk to him, tell him I know," she said, looking up at me. She laid her head on my shoulder. "I just don't get why. He always said he loved me. He always said he was okay with waiting. I guess I can only blame myself for not giving him what he wanted."

"No," I replied, surprised and angry. "You are not to blame. He hurt you and you should not blame yourself for that." She just shrugged her shoulders and nuzzled her face deeper into my shoulder.

"I just can't believe him."

"Me neither."
