Hazel's POV

I was sitting in a chair by the side of the pool. Everyone else was swimming and splashing each other. I was enjoying myself and relaxing when all of a sudden I felt wet arms grab me. Jack G picked me up and started walking me towards the pool. I was thrashing around, trying to escape.

"Get in, Hazzy. The water's fine!" Carter shouted up at us. I was still trying to escape, but he had a tight hold on me.

"Put me down!!" I screamed back.

"Okay," he added as he dropped me into the water. My chest slammed into the surface of the water. I felt the pain shoot through my body.

It took away my breath. I was sinking deeper into the water. I tried to paddle upwards, but it barely did a thing.

I started to get a panic attack. I had no breath in the deep end. Water pushed it's way into my nose and my lungs. I began coughing profusely, making it worse.

It was eventually too much. I started to see black spots and my head was pounding. Then, nothing.

Jack G's POV

We were all laughing. I jumped into the pool, a shallower area than where I dropped Hazel.

She had been under for a while. We started to worry. A few bubbles came to the surface at first. The water moved slightly.

She wasn't coming back up.

I dove under furiously. I swam deeper and deeper until I found her. She was still and limp. I grabbed her and started swimming to the surface.

Once we reached air again, Sam and Matt had laid a towel on the ground. I quickly brought her over and laid her down.

I checked her eyes. Nothing.

I tried talking to her. Nothing.

Now was the time that my CPR training was gonna be worth it.

I pushed on her stomach. 1, 2, 3.

Give her air. 1, 2, 3.

Push her stomach. 1, 2, 3.

Water came out of her mouth. She coughed furiously. Sam put his hand on her back as she coughed it all out.

She stopped coughing and took deep breaths. When she was breathing normally, I pulled her into a hug.

"I'm so sorry, Hazzy. I was just playing around. I didn't meant to hurt you in anyway," I started rambling apologies. She coughed a couple times and then spoke.

"It's fine. I just hit the water to hard." I sighed and we all decided to just head back to the room. I went into mine with Jack, and she went to lay down with Sam.

I'm an asshole.
