Chapter 20

Chases POV

She ran out of the room and all I did was stand there. I should have gone after her. It's my fault she's gone now. it's my fault she's been taken.

My head rests in my hand as I sit in the pack house living room.

When Maggie had run out of the house I decided to leave her alone... let her be.... Let her think.

When Jake mind linked me she was with him I knew she was safe and stopped worrying. I should have known she would come back. when it started to get dark I figured she had decided to stay the night and I went to a hotel and checked in.

I was sleeping when Jake mind linked me asking if she had made it home.

I instantly went to her house only to find her mom sitting in the kitchen waiting for Maggie.

I knew instantly something bad had happened and she had been taken and she was in danger.

My wolf was growling and becoming desperate to come out and save his mate.

I felt myself shake as anger came over me and before I knew it I had shifted and running to the pack house in record time.

When I got there jake and the rest of the boys were pacing and I mindlinked them to let the pack know there was going to be a pack meeting.

I went upstairs to get changed and by the time I came back down the entire pack was there, all 300 members.

I stood up in front of them and they all became quiet. my dad stood to the side of me along with my mother and I looked at then before I spoke.

"You all have not been informed of recent events. I have found my mate, her name is Maggie and she is Jakes sister." the crowd went into an uproar at the thought of me finding my mate.

"However! she has been taken and I need every pack member able to fight fighting, this excludes mothers and children, I need your help!" I heard growls from around the crowd and before long all the pack member who were going to fight were by my side.

I looked towards jake and mindlinked him to give out instructions and I made my way inside the pack house.

Now here I sit... my head in my hands grasping for any trace of me dear mate.

She hadn't even completely accepted me yet and now she might end up dead.

My wolf growled at me for even thinking she could die.

I lifted my head trying to look around for any clues as to go took her. I looked over at the in table and sitting neating on a pile of books was an envelope.

I reached for in and opened it quickly to see sprawled letters across the page.

It read.
