"I GOT you something." I said rummaging through my bag, in search of the small item.

She sat next to me in calculus class. I did a quick scan of her body making a mental note in my head.

She's getting thinner.

"Consider it as a late birthday present." I said handing the gift over to her. She held it in her hand, stroking it with a whimsical smile coating her lips. A sight I could never get sick of seeing.

The gift was a clicker.

One in the shape of a sun.

"Why a sun?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow at my flustered state. I rubbed the back of my neck, smiling awkwardly.

"You know why... cause I'm your sunshine!"

I cringed internally.
