SHE SPOKE.

To be honest, I knew she could speak but I had never heard her voice ever before. It wasn't as soft as I expected but the tinge of hoarseness I heard in that voice was attractive, all the more.

I dropped the fork, my eyes widening on its own.

"Umm- w- what do you mean?" I stammered. She rolled her eyes, her tongue pressed against her cheek.

"Spending time with me? Talking to me? Trying to..." she paused, blinking slowly. "...trying to make me smile you could say?"

I stared at her in silence.

I wish I could tell you. But now's not the right time.
