I was just styling my hair into a waterfall braid when there was a knock at the front door.
"Mum, can you get it for me please? It's Demi!" I shouted to her downstairs, and I heard the door open with footsteps following soon after. My bedroom door flew open just as I finished the braid.
"Taylor!"
"Demi!"
We both squealed and ran at eachother, hugging tightly. Once we pulled away, we both burst out laughing.
"I have missed you so much!" I said, tears almost forming in my eyes.
"I've missed you more." Demi replied, tapping my nose. I smiled and pulled her down to sit on my carpet.
"So is your new school good?" she asked.
I shook my head.
"Horrible, to be honest." I admitted.
"Why?" she asked curiously.
"Everyone there hates me for being Leo's friend. Back then it was because he was bullied, now it's because he's famous and they're all jealous." I explained.
"But I have another friend, Kat. She's awesome." I added, Demi grinned.
"At least you gained something from it. School back home is boring now, everyone's changing and I'm starting to think I'm the only sane one there." she replied.
"Well, make the most of half term holidays and spend time with me!" I said, jumping up.
"Cookie dough?"
"Cookie dough!"
It was a sort of tradition that at every sleepover Demi and I had, we made cookie dough and ate it. I'd found a recipe for edible cookie dough on Instagram a long time ago and we'd been making it ever since. Half an hour later, we were curled up on the sofa in the living room eating the dough and taking turns in breaking off a chunk.
"So, am I gonna get my autograph?" Demi asked, taking off a piece.
"Patience, dems." I laughed, and nodded.
"I'll ask Leo and Charlie if they want to do something tomorrow." I said.
"But for now..." I added, bringing out my phone. I texted Charlie since Leo broke his phone and was getting a new one, telling him to follow Demi's twitter.
A few minutes later, she gave a shriek.
"Thank you so much Taylor!" she said, hugging me. I could just laugh.
"Chill, it's no big deal." I said, and she looked shocked.
"For you it's not! It's everything to some people." she replied, crossing her arms and pretending to be irritated.
"I know, I know. I'm very lucky." I replied, to please her.
"Now lighten up before I eat your piece." I said, attempting to take her cookie dough. She laughed, and we ended up having a tickle fight over the last piece.
We stayed up pretty late, or should I say early. Demi didn't fall asleep until three while I lay awake for another half an hour. She insisted that we should go to sleep early, so we weren't tired for tomorrow with the boys. Good luck getting me out of bed.
Sure enough, I was awoken the next morning by Demi tugging at my arm.
"Taylor! Get up!" she half-yelled, tugging harder.
"Alright, calm it." I said, lifting my hands up.
She sighed and stopped.
"When are you gonna ring Leo and Charlie?" she asked impatiently.
