Sleep over

All through Friday, the only thing Leo could talk about is how excited he was about meeting Charlie and maybe becoming a duo.

"You've told me about fifteen times, now eat your chips before I do." I muttered, and Kat laughed.

"Someone's in a mood." she teased.

"Well I kinda didn't sleep last night." I snapped.

"I even went up early because I was tired...but no matter how tired I was I couldn't sleep." I continued.

If I ever didn't get at least a bit of sleep, I always got really fed up. Every little thing annoyed me and I felt like screaming. It also caused mood swings so one minute I'd be fine, the next I'd be crying my eyes out for no reason.

It was a relief when the last bell finally went and we could go home.

I walked with Kat, and we talked about having a sleepover.

"Could I come to yours? My mum's kinda strict." Kat pleaded, in the end I agreed.

"Great! I'll be at yours in about an hour." she said excitedly, and left to go her seperate route.

When I got home, it was my first wish to sleep. However, I would only have about forty five minutes before Kat came and getting woken up after such a small nap would probably annoy me more than not sleeping at all...ah, screw it. May as well.

With that, I flopped down on the sofa and fell fast asleep. Only to be disturbed by Kat knocking loudly on the door.

"Coming!" I screamed, getting up and running to the door. I let her in, and we both burst out laughing for no reason. I could tell this would be fun.

It was about one in the morning, and I was surprised I was still awake. We were both in onesies. Kat had a tiger onesie, while I had a cookie monster. My hair was tied up in a scruffy ponytail but Kat's was still down, somehow still tidy.

We were just tucking into a pot of nutella with Netflix on, though neither of us were really watching the film, when another loud knock sounded at the door.

"Is that your mum?" Kat asked curiously.

"No...she's at work until about eight." I said, and we both ran downstairs.

I flung open the door, and who was there?

Leondre.

He stood there smirking, with a blonde boy stood beside him.

Charlie.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked Leo, kind of mad. Mainly because I looked like crap. Leo was my one of my closest friends, but I still didn't feel comfortable looking like this around him. Especially as Charlie, someone I'd never met before, was standing right there.

"I told you I'd be coming, princess." Leo reminded me, with a wink that was similar to the one yesterday when he said maybe. Great.

"Well now you're here, you've been here, and now you're going." I said, shutting the door. Leo stopped it with his foot.

"Let me in! We can have a sleepover." he whined.

"That's what I was doing before you interrupted me." I snapped.

Leo held both his hands up and walked in, Charlie following. I sighed and glanced at Kat. She nodded, and as long as she didn't mind, I didn't care.

"Right. Fun." Leo said, turning the TV on in the living room and putting the music channel on full blast.

Then he stole the nutella jar from my room and began spooning it into his mouth. No, more shoveling. After a bit, it was quite fun. We got to know Charlie a bit better. He was reasonably quiet, but when you got to know him he was as much of a pain as Leo. Maybe a little less.

We played silly games around the house, ate literally everything in the kitchen and danced around to the music. By about four in the morning, it had died down a little and we were watching a movie. I was pretty tired.

Every time I yawned, the others would mock me.

"I've had like an hours sleep in 48 hours. Leave me alone." I said sleepily. We were downstairs in the living room. I was on the carpet, leaning against the sofa.

Leo was next to me and there was a blanket covering our legs. Charlie was sat on the floor at first, but moaned that it was too uncomfortable so he sat on the sofa with Kat.

Kat had been stretched out over it, but then Charlie sat down and she resolved to curling up in a ball with a packet of crisps. I was seriously falling asleep. Every time I opened my eyes, it was like ten more minutes in the movie than before.

Leo was close beside me, so it became a struggle not to lean on him. Of course, I dosed off for good with my head on his shoulder. As a light sleeper, I can sometimes catch sounds when I feel asleep.

"Is she asleep?" Charlie whispered.

"Yeah, I think so." Leo replied, touching my hand to see if I reacted.

"Aw, she looks sweet." Kat giggled, then I heard movement. My head dropped for a second, but then softly landed on something again. I think I was stretched out with my head resting on Leo's legs.

"I don't want her to get a sore neck." Leo said. Aw. He was really sweet. Not much more happened, and as I lost concentration, I fell into a much deeper sleep.
