When you woke up, Lempo was asleep. The two of you were laying flat in bed with the blankets over you. Lempo was snoring so quietly that it almost sounded like a purr. He was so peaceful. You looked down. One of your legs was between his, Lempo's arm was wrapped around your waist. He still smelt great, like a cologne model. Looking at the table you noticed a note. It was from Jay.
(Y/N), your friend seemed to have calmed you down... I think you need the rest.. I know you have night terrors... I hear you cry at night.. Cry out for Castiel or Sam or Dean... But no one shows up.. But you're peaceful now. So maybe this guy will be different.. I'll be back tomorrow. Yours, Jay.
You teared up, because it was true. Every night you woke up crying, remembering being torn apart. Every night you had their names on your lips, but no one ever came. Not even Castiel. You understood he was busy, so you tried not to say anything.. But it was agony. Lempo was here, arms around you and snoring. He stayed. The others did not. He seemed to sense your discomfort, opening his eyes and yawning.
"Mmm.... Howdy.." He mumbled. You smiled.
"Sleep well?" You asked. Now that you'd use your voice more it came out a lot softer. Lempo smiled, his eyes opening.
"Like a stillborn." He replied, yawning. You didn't like that simile, frowning softly. He realized how much you disliked it and gently gripped your chin. Your gulped, your heart beating faster.
"Sorry, I have an odd way of putting things.." He explained. You accepted the answer and moved away.
"Noooo.." Lempo whined, grinning. You let out a single laugh.
"You should check on your grandfather.." You suggested. Lempo narrowed his eyes slightly, losing his smile.
"Are you telling me to leave?" He asked sadly. You hadn't noticed it, but you were already pushing him away. You looked around for a pen, finding one in a drawer. She wrote her number on his arm.
"No, I'm telling you to go check on your family." You assured him. Lempo smiled again.
"I'll talk to you soon." He said, kissing your forehead. Your skin tingled. Lempo made your body react in ways only Castiel had in the past. He climbed from your bed and ran a hand through his dark hair, winking at you before exiting the room. As soon as the door closed Matt appeared.
"There's something off with that guy." He commented. You shot him a look.
"He's been nothing but kind." You responded.
"Matt shook his head.. Maybe he's a demon." He suggested. You looked offended.
"We are NOT having this argument." You said angrily. Matt raised his hands in surrender.
"Then let's talk about the task at hand. Sam is back."
"What should I do? That might not even be Sam. What is it's Lucifer? Or a shapeshifter... Did you see the way he grabbed me?... Sam would never have touched me like that. He was a gentleman.." You responded.
"You should still tell Dean. What if there's something wrong with Sam?" Matt asked.
"What if he needs help?" He continued. You couldn't leave it to 'what ifs'. You grabbed your phone and dialed Dean's number. The phone picked up. He sounded groggy.
"Hello?.." He yawned.
"Dean, is that you?" You questioned hopefully. There was some rustling.
"(Y/N)?" He questioned. You teared up.
"Hey, buddy.." You greeted.
"Is everything okay? We haven't talked in months... Is Jay okay..?" He asked. There was a hint of something in his voice when he mentioned Jay.
"She's okay. We're doing good, but.. We need to talk about something.. Where are you?"
"I'm at home." He responded, giving you the address.
"I'll be there as soon as I can."
