You took in a panicked breath, sitting up. Your eyes opened and frantically searched the unfamiliar room. You glanced down at the bed, it was rather lavish. The blankets were a pristine silky red.
“Hello?” You called, climbing out of bed. What had happened after the fight? You moved your face around and felt nothing.
“It was just a dream… I must have gotten drunk and passed out.” You rationalized, walking to the door. It was a gloriously smooth dark wooden door, and you ran your fingers down it. The smooth texture was a pleasant feeling. You opened the door and found yourself in an art exhibit. There was furniture, of course, but it looked as if everything had been professionally placed. On the couch in front of a large TV slept Lempo, a small blanket wrapped around him. Next to him was a beautiful glass table that held his phone and wallet. You got on your knees in front of the couch and gently shook his shoulder.
“Lempo?” You questioned. His eyes slid opened then focused on you. He smiled.
“Goodmorning.. I'm glad you feel better.” Lempo greeted. You grinned.
“I guess when you drink like I do it takes a minute..” You responded. He nodded slowly and sat up, allowing you to sit on the couch next to him.
“Don't you remember the fight?” Lempo questioned curiously. Your eyes widened.
“So it really wasn't a dream… Then how am I.. Healed?” You muttered. Lempo took both your hands, looking into your eyes.
“This might be hard to understand… But I possess power I inherited from my mother… There are creatures out there-.”
“Are you a hunter?” You interrupted. Lempo shook his head.
“Are you?” He asked. You nodded.
“The Castiel I was talking about was an angel..” You explained. Lempo's eyes lit up.
“Well, I'm a.. Witch. But I don't kill people… I've honestly just been looking for the love of my life.. That's all my mother used to talk about.” He chuckled softly. You hugged him.
“If we're telling stories.. I've been to hell twice.” You added. Lempo tensed.
“Why?” He questioned angrily.
“First time I was kidnapped by the king… Second time I was murdered by angels.” You answered. He pulled back from the hug, taking your face in his hands.
“I will never let that happen to you… You will never again be forced to do anything.. I will make sure of that.” Lempo assured you, kissing your forehead. Whenever he held you in his hands and looked into your eyes you were drawn in. Everything he said spoke volumes to you.
“Thank you.. I owe you..” You whispered. He perked.
“Will you do a ritual with me? It will help you feel better. I promise.” He offered. You didn't hesitate to nod.
“Sure, as long as I'm not a sacrificial woman.” You joked. Lempo laughed.
“Of course not.” He stood and picked you up bridal style. You laughed, kicking your legs contently.
“This is a great way of travel for me.” You smirked. Lempo gave you a look and carried you to the bedroom, smiling softly. You raised your eyebrows as he laid you down on the bed. You were about to protest, but Lempo stood up and went to a hidden door in the wall.
“Rest there. I'm going to get my magic broomstick.” He beamed. You giggled and closed your eyes. Before you knew it you were asleep.
