"No, no, no, no!" You cried, pulling him against your chest. The moment you did you were standing in heaven, watching a scene unfold. Raphael sat at a desk, watching Castiel walk up. Smooth and full of mission.
"You came. I appreciate the courage that takes." Rapheal said, smiling. Castiel glanced around.
"Who's heaven is this?" He asked.
"Ken Lay's. I'm borrowing it." Rapheal answered.
"I still question his admittance here." Casti grumbled.
"He's devout. Trumps everything." Raphael continued. You watched the interaction with tense shoulders. The look Raphael had was one of power and control.
"What do you want?" Castiel finally questioned.
"Tomorrow - I've called for a full assembly of the Holy Host. You'll kneel before me and pledge allegiance to the flag, all right?" Rapheal revealed. You narrowed your eyes.
"Flag?" But no one heard you. This was a memory.
"And what flag is that?"
"Me, Castiel. Allegiance to me." Rapheal drawled, his face straightening out. Castiel squinted.
"Are you joking?" He asked.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" Asked the archangel.
"You never look like you're joking." Castiel answered.
"You rebelled - against God, heaven, and me. Now you will atone. We'll start by freeing Lucifer and Michael from their cage. And then we'll get our show back on the road." Rapheal announced.
"No!" You yelled. Castiel stood tall.
"Rapheal, no… The apocalypse doesn't have to be fought."
"Of course it does. It's God's will." Rapheal said cynically.
"How can you say that?!" Castiel demanded.
"Because it's what I want." Rapheal answered coldly.
"The other angels, they won't let you."
"Are you sure? You know better than anyone, Castiel. They're soldiers. They weren't built for freedom. They were built to follow.." Rapheal tilted his head.
"Then I won't let you." Castiel stated forcibly, a dangerous glint in his crystal blue eyes.
"Really, you?" Rapheal asked tauntingly, raising his hand. You jumped into action, trying to push Castiel out of the way. You went through him as bright white light exploded from Rapheal's hand. You closed your eyes, and when you opened them both you and Castiel were on the ground. Bright green grass and blue skies surrounded you as Castiel's eyes opened and blood spurted from his mouth. Your tried to help him, but a loud voice spoke to your head. It was Raphael.
"Tomorrow you kneel, Castiel...Or you and anyone with you dies.. Your abomination with them. I'll personally tear her heart out."
You opened your eyes to see a fully healed Castiel holding you to his body. You blinked and looked around. You understood. Finally.
"I never wanted to hurt you.. But I had to make sure you'd hate me sk Rapheal would have no reason to come after you.." Castiel explained, tearing up.
"I'm truly sorry."
"I love you so much.. I'm not angry anymore.." You sniffled. Castiel looked down at his healed self.
"I didn't expect you to save me.. I just didn't want to die without you knowing the truth….. I couldn't die knowing you hated me." He let a single tear fall. You relaxed on his chest, taking in a large breath. His scent filled your senses and relaxed you.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there.. That you were suffering inside for so long.. I couldn't risk it and I hate myself for it." Castiel continued. You started crying into his chest.
"It's okay. It's okay.." You whimpered. Castiel pulled your head up and kissed you, deeply and passionately. He tasted like chocolate, sweet and smooth. You didn't stop until two arms wrapped around you and yanked you out of the bed.
"Get your hands off of my mate." Lempo hissed, his lip pulled back into a snarl. Your eyes focuser and you stood on your own.
"We're leaving." He said. You looked back at Castiel before flying away with Lempo.
