Three

As they moved forward, they saw an enclosed area up ahead, in front of a tall cylinder-shaped building. As they got closer, Stella saw more of the pink, hairless creatures. They were pulling open the enclosure, and as Stella moved forward, the creatures surrounded them.

One of the young fillies tried to run at the creatures, but they just pulled out long, metal sticks. As the filly ran at them, one of the sticks made a loud sound, and it started smoking. Stella looked over, and saw the filly slumped on the ground. An older mare, probably the filly's mother, let out a long, mournful whinny. But as one of the creatures aimed a stick at the mare, she skittishly ran toward the herd.

The creatures were trying to get the herd into the enclosure, and the metal sticks seemed to have convinced them, Stella observed.

As the horses entered it, Stella realized that the creatures wanted to trap them. Too late, she realized. They were already in the pen. Why are they doing this to us? We never did anything bad to them, she thought.

The creatures started yapping at each other as they closed the enclosure. Stella started to panic. She ran over to Dillo. "What is happening?", Stella whinnied in a scared tone. "I don't know", he answered. "I don't know".
