Five
Stella and Dillo both gathered up their muscles, preparing to jump the fence. Stella glided over easily, but as Dillo went over, he clipped the rail. This caused him to land awkwardly. "Stella, wait up! I hurt my leg!" Stella slowed down to see that Dillo wasn't behind her. He was limping far behind, favoring his right hind leg.
"Dillo! We need to get away!"
Stella spoke up too soon. A creature ran out of the big building, yapping in it's weird language. Stella tried to help Dillo run, but the creatures caught up with them quickly. Ropes encircled their necks.
Stella struggled, but there were too many. They dragged her to a smaller pen, with a higher rail that she could never jump. She saw them doing the same with Dillo in another pen. Stella sighed, annoyed at her stupidity of not planning their escape more carefully.
