My So Called Friend

Chapter 12

I went to a party I was invited to,

It was held for the new year countdown.

It was like a masquerade with masks and stuff,

I don't know why but I went with it.

I was wearing a black mask with flowers at the side.

A black cocktail dress and my black hair flowing down my shoulders freely.

I was sitting at the bar sipping on some juice.

It was a very fancy party me and my parents were invited to by their company.

By the dress code I had to wear a dress, I usually don't unless I had to.

I left my empty cup and went to the balcony to wait for the countdown.

But then a young man stood next to me.

"What's a beautiful girl like you doing here all alone?" he asked.

"Just for some peace and quiet." I answered while turning my head to look at him.

It was none other then you, in a tuxedo with a white mask plated with small diamonds at the edges.

You took off your mask and smiled at me.

I took off my mask as well but looked away.

"She isn't my girlfriend, nor will she ever be." you suddenly say making me snap my head towards you.

"But she called you babe and you kissed her." I say.

"She calls me babe cuz she wants everyone to think we're dating but we're not and I didn't kiss her, she kissed me forcefully against my will." you say and stare out from the balcony.

"Oh..." I could only say and enjoyed the view with you.

"You like me more then a friend don't you?" you say as you smirked at me.

I blushed and looked away again, scared to meet your gaze as you've figured me out.

Suddenly, you gently grabbed my hand and turned me towards you.

I could hear the people inside the building yelling the countdown.

But everything just went quiet when you leaned in closer to me,

And you kissed me.

I kissed you back as I could hear fireworks erupting in the sky behind us.

We pulled apart after a short while but it seemed like forever.

"A new year's kiss, my new years resolution is to make you mine no matter what it takes." you smiled at me as you held my waist against you.

I blushed madly and stayed quiet as I was speechless with the situation.

I was trapped in your embrace, you turned me towards the balcony and hugged me from behind.

We peacefully admired the beautiful fireworks that lit up the night sky.

"I love you." you suddenly say making me go red, you rested your head in the crook of my neck and pecked me on the cheek.

"I-I love you too..." I stuttered and we continued to watch the fireworks in the sky.
