It was 7 in the morning and your phone is ringing non-stop. You thought, while half asleep, about the plans you had today, which included sleeping and then a nap. No one should have the right to disturb you on your day off. The phone kept on ringing, playing that familiar EXO song, Tempo. As much as you love the song, it was the last thing you wanted to hear a Friday, which you managed to not have any classes on. You groaned as you grabbed it.

"Hello?" you answered, your voice barely there.

"Good morning sleepy head." the other line said. Your eyes slowly began to close again, but his booming voice woke you up again. "Meet me in front of the school in an hour." and then he hung up. Your eyes closed again. But 10 minutes later, you realized what just happened and bolted out of bed. You moved quickly through your routine, washing your face quickly and applying sunscreen with no makeup. You didn't know why he had called you out so early but he's going to have to put up with your bare face.

You arrived at the school a little after 8. He was already standing by the gate, scarf wrapped tightly around his neck. His jacket came down to his knees. You could only imagine how big it would look am on you. He looks warm, like a giant teddy bear. You could see each breath that he took. A yawn escaped your mouth when you reached him. "What do you want?"

"Nice to see you too, friend."

"Okay, I'm not sure if this is the first time you've made a friend. But friends don't just call each other at the speck of dawn for no apparent reason." you stated.

"Well, I don't know how to be friends with a girl that confessed to liking me and is helping me keep a secret about my crush." he said with a smirk.

"Right, no filters. Got it. So why did you ask me to come here?"

"Well, I have an assignment from my composition class that I might need your help with."

"Might? So I could have been sleeping still?" you blinked a few times in annoyance. "I'm going home." You turned to walk away.

"No you're not." he grabbed your wrist and spin you around. Like that night you two met. "Friends should help each other. Besides, it's a love song and you're about the only female friend that I have."

"Wow, what an honor." you said sarcastically. Instead of going on campus, Namjoon decided to take you to a cafe nearby. You questioned why he would ask you for help when it's a love song, surely he could have used Seol as his inspiration. But he didn't answer you right away. Once you've ordered your drinks, he took out a notebook and pen.

"It's kinda like a love song. Like a confession in a way."

"And you need me because....."

"I've never confessed before. But you have, so I just needed your input." He pulled out a piece of paper with a grand staff and some music notes. It seemed that he already had the melodies down.

"You know you're a really selfish bastard." you said, taking a sip of your coffee.

"So I've been told." he rolled his eyes. "But you're still going to help me, right?"

"If you pay for lunch." you demanded.

"Fine. Let's begin." You began telling him details of how you felt when you confessed to him. It all seems strange from an outside perspective. But to the two of you, or at least for Namjoon, it was just business. An exchange of words with no strings attached. For you, it was reliving the moment your heart broke. They say when you like someone, their happiness goes above yours, and that's exactly what you're doing now. You didn't mind, because as a piece of your heart dies, so does your feelings for him.

"This sounds beautiful." he said when you finished.

"My heartache sounds beautiful to you? Thanks?" you laughed, not knowing what the appropriate response to this would be.

"No, the way you described your feelings. It sounds better than anything I could come up with."

"I'm sure that's not true. If you're really passionate about something, I know you'll be able to put them into poetry. How about this, tell me about Seol. Tell me about the Seol you see with your eyes." you suggested. He tilted his head a little out of confusion.

"Are you sure you want to hear this?" he asked. It was the first time you saw concerned on his face. It felt nice.

"You asked me to tell you about my confession, for you. This is not the time to be worrying about my feelings anymore, lover boy." you teased. Surely, it would hurt you to hear it, but if it will help him, then you'll do it with a smile.

"It was my first year at the university. I was fresh out of college with big dreams and no starting point. I happened to bump into her in the hallway. The two of us being clumsy, the papers she was holding flew everywhere. Like you said, everything was slow motion in a way. The papers flew down like snow. Our eyes locked and I think my heart skipped a beat. Her hair was in a tight bun, but a strand was falling out. I held back the urge to tuck them behind her little ears. I have never had a girlfriend at that point, but when I saw her, I knew why. It was as if my heart knew and had been waiting for the day to meet her."

"Then I found out that she was the professor teaching the writing class I was taking at the time. My heart was crushed. She continued teaching the class with poise, I couldn't believe that it was the same girl I had bumped into earlier. Naturally, I was captivated by the way she moved, her dedications to the class. Sure, the content is pretty dry, but I can't get enough of her voice."

"But lately, I don't know, maybe it's just my imagination, my feelings for her are dwindling. It could be because I am so close to graduating that romance matters less to me now. And every time Seol and i have a conversation, she would always look at me as her students. And sometimes, I don't feel that excitement, that spark around her anymore. It's like..." his eyes was on you. You were flipping through the pages of his notebook and didn't notice his stare. "Nevermind.:

"You can't give up just like that." you chimed in, taking a big chunk of the cake that was in front of you. He gave you a disgusted look before taking a bite for himself. And by a bite, he took the rest of the piece. You frowned.

"That's surprising for you to say." he said after he finished chewing.

"You pig." you growled. "But anyways, I'm giving up on you because it's healthier for me than to wait until you get over your professor crush, which I doubt would ever happen. And besides, I only knew you for like an hour or so, so there wasn't a strong attachment." You were lying of course, and he noticed, but didn't say anything.

"I see." was all that he said. "Well, how did this exercise help me?"

"You're kidding, right?" you asked, he shook his head. And here you thought you were the clueless one about romance. "You literally just wrote her a love song right there. Snow. Your heart knowing and waiting." You thought about it for awhile, coming up with the right name for the piece. You perked up in your seat at an idea. He almost spilled some coffee from the shock you gave him. "I got it!"

"Got what?"

"Crystal Snow!" You observed his facial expressions changing from perflexion to agreement.

"Crystal Snow, it has a nice ring to it." He wrote it down at the top of the music sheets. Then in his other notebook, began writing down some lyrics, which you also helped as well.

I want to hold you one more time before you disappear.....

Can I touch your heart?

After completing the chorus, he took you to lunch as promised. But before getting to the restaurant, your phone rang, it was from an unknown number. "Hello?" you answered.

"Hello, is this miss Y/N?" a female voice asked. It sounded official.

"This is she." You stopped walking, causing Namjoon to stop as well. He saw the nervousness on your face. "Who is this?"

"I'm calling from Hospital X. Your friend, Yuqi got into an accident and is here right now. Please hurry."
