" Kasai...?"
Kasai quickly turned and smiled once he saw the Ultimate Boxer. He wasn't dead, he was there, in the flesh.
" Hajime!" Kasai went over and hugged the boxer, squeezing his eyes shut.
The killing game was over, and everyone was awake and alive. Kasai took a deep breath, though he remembered every moment. The good and the bad.
Hajime sighed, taking Kasai's hand," Let's go home..."
***
Hajime felt the coldness of the bed as he slowly got up. He frowned slightly and left the quiet room to go and find where Kasai went.
He sighed softly and walked into the kitchen, seeing an empty bottle just laying on the ground. He frowned, going over and picking it up.
Hajime's pink eyes widened slightly before he dropped the bottle, taking a deep breath as he stepped back.
" Kasai? Kasai where are you?!" the boxer called out as he ran around the apartment looking for his boyfriend," Oh God...please don't let him do anything stupid."
After about ten minutes Hajime was outside searching for his boyfriend. He looked around, continuously calling out Kasai's name.
Hajime looked around," Kasai! Kasai where are you?!" he called out, his voice growing hoarse. He coughed, running down the street before he spotted the redhead standing on the other side of the street.
" Kasai!" Hajime smiled, getting the firefighters attention as he took a deep breath," Oh thank God..." he mumbled.
Kasai stepped out onto the street, and began running over with a smile. Hajime was waiting for him, till his eyes widened when he saw two bright headlights.
" Kasai wait!" he called out, the red haired firefighter stopped in the middle of the street as he stepped back in confusion. He was about to walk back over until he was hit straight on by an oncoming car.
Hajime stared, sucking in a breath.
The boxer never knew he could scream so loud.
***
Hajime sat in the waiting room, head resting in his hands. His hair was a mess, and his eyes were slightly red from crying.
The rest of the class was there, all except Mikado Sannoji who was also recovering from the killing game.
Yuri hesitantly sat down next to the boxer, sighing gently," Hey..."
The ginger glanced over, blinking," Hey Yuri..." he mumbled gently," you aren't mad?"
" Hajime, I forgave you when I was falling from the tower. I'm not mad at you...I'm worried for you," the astronaut sighed, closing his eyes.
" I'm sorry for what I did..." Hajime mumbled, looking at his scarred hands," I'm the worst man to ever breathe..."
Yuri wasn't sure how to respond, so he just tugged on a strand of hair. He sighed, before glancing up when someone new walked into the room.
A nurse with wild purple hair was holding a clipboard. Hajime quickly looked up, his eyes slightly widening when he heard the news.
" Shinji Kasai is in a coma."
***
Hajime fell back, quickly pushing himself up as he panted for breath. He glared at his opponent, quickly throwing a punch and knocking the other man down.
" Makunouchi Hajime is the winner!"
Hajime's right arm went up in the air, as the familiar bell dinged and the crowd began cheering for the Ultimate Boxer.
The ginger didn't smile like he usually did, there was no emotion in his face at all. He just stood in the ring, silent as he glanced down.
After a minute, Hajime left the ring and went to go get dressed with a small sigh. He put his jacket on, as well as his sunglasses as he left the building.
Typically, Kasai would be waiting for him. But he couldn't, because he was still in a coma.
It had been five months.
Hajime glanced around as he noticed Yuri pull up next to him in an obnoxious green car. He glared, silent still as the astronaut smiled.
" Hurry up, get in! We have to go somewhere!"
The ginger shrugged, going and getting in the passengers seat as he threw his bag in the backseat of the car.
" Where are we going?"
" I'm driving you home tonight," Yuri hummed out," sorry if I got your hopes up."
Hajime didn't respond, only falling back in his seat and closing his eyes after a moment. Soon enough, he was asleep.
***
Hajime walked into his and Kasai's apartment, setting his bag down and sighing as he shook his head. He then tensed when he heard something fall.
Yuri stood behind him, still grinning happily. The boxer began walking around, noticing someone sitting on the couch. He slowly approached, glaring before he fell back when he was suddenly tackled into a kiss.
His sunglasses had also fallen off, his eyes widened when he saw who it was.
" K-Kasai..." he mumbled, tears forming in his eyes as he hugged his boyfriend quickly," You're actually here!"
" I'm sorry Haji..." Kasai mumbled, nuzzling his head into the boxers shoulder as he took a deep breath," I'm sorry I worried you..."
" Why? Why did you drink? Please...just why?" the ginger mumbled, taking a deep breath.
" I-I wanted to get rid of the me-memories...I-I didn't wa-want to remember the ki-killing game..." the redhead hiccuped, rubbing his eyes as he hung his head.
Hajime stared, smiling slightly as he hugged his loving boyfriend and sighing," It's okay..." he mumbled," But please don't drink anymore...you had me so scared..."
" I'm so sorry Haji, I didn't mean to scare you..." Kasai mumbled.
" It's okay Kasai...just please don't do it again..." Hajime mumbled as he gave his boyfriend a quick kiss, leaning against him soon," Promise?"
" Promise..." Kasai grinned," Well, at least until our wedding night."
Hajime rolled his eyes playfully," God damn it..." he mumbled, smiling slightly as him and Kasai soon fell asleep.
As for Yuri? He had left to go spend time with his new girlfriend, Kanade.
