Chapter 1

"If there's one thing I hate" avery mumbled "it's six o'clock in the morning ".
Avery stood up angrily and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and take her bath, she made the water so hot that she can bear in other to feel relaxed. She went to her closet contemplating on what to wear and decided to wear something simple. She settled on a red armless jumpsuit and a Gray fur jacket with a matching red heels.
She was wondering why she needed to work when she had every thing she needed. Like a glass house mansion, a penthouse, six cars, a lake mall, a petroleum station all over the world and a textile company. She is also a lawyer and had a special rank in the military force... But, she interrupted her thoughts and remembered that her mum always says"it not about working for money. It's about having money work for you"and she also said "never mind what others do, do better than yourself, beat your own record from day to day and you are a success ".
So she picked up her car keys and left, she was having a case in court.

"omg!" What was that? She mumbled angrily and came out of her car. She looked at her car and sighed. She confirmed that her car was being scratched roughly by an intruder. The intruder stopped and like six other alike cars stopped with him. She can swear she saw his side view but the intruder refused to come down. "I guess it was high time i knocked someone out"she said to herself. As she approached the man's car, some set of people came down to block her way, there were like eight in number, all wearing black suit with dark sunglasses.
She smiled and said"I would like to see the boss here "she said politely. But the broad guy who she thought was the boss said"the boss said I should give you this money (half a million) in order to fix the damages he caused ".
Avery was so shocked that people like this still exist, then she thought on how to deal with him, she threw the money back and said"I don't need your damn money all I need is your boss whose manner I don't appreciate or like to come down from the fucking car and apologize to me or else I promise to create a scene".

JAYDEN POV
lord! He admired that gut. She is so confident and bold and already concluded that she is a hard core he needed to break so if he didn't come out and give her that damn apology then he doesn't think she is going to leave.
When he came down from the car, Jayden felt his heart stop. This wasn't what he was expecting, he was expecting a nuisance that just want to use this opportunity to cause a lot of trouble. But this was different, her eyes where as bright and blue as the ocean, her hair was as shiny as the the sun itself and lord she has this kind of curves that a man would die for....
Then she interrupted his thoughts by saying "hey, I'm sure you are the boss here so I need my apologies as soon as possible".
But she could also not resist the temptation of looking at his face. It was tanned like his arms, with the skin drawn tight over bone. His nose was long and not quite straight and his hair Lord she felt like touching it. Pale almost translucent green eyes looking at her.
"And why should I apologize " he knew he'd be damned, he'd be twice damned if he'd give her an apology now. "you're perfectly free to prosecute if you the need for compensation for a few scratches on your car". Jayden said.
"Really, I see but just looking at the people around you I can see that you are a man of reputation so I will do what you said and prosecute" she showed him her ID card which proves she is a lawyer and the famous youngest billionaire(Avery Gastel ).
He was so shocked that a lady with so much reputation will go extra miles just for an apology for the few scratches on her car. Then she concluded that she was one puzzle he was willing to solve. He told his bodyguards to excuse them that he needed to talk to her privately.
He started "I never knew you are the famous billionaire " and she responded "I never knew you had such annoying attitude ".
He knew she was really hard headed so he decided to do it the calm way.
"I'm Jayden Felix of Zophar isle". He could see the shock on her face.
She spoke with pride when she said "as you already know I'm avery Gastel ".
"nice to meet you" he said stretching his hands forward for a handshake.
"not for me " she hesitated a second then accepted his hands.
Her hands were slender and fine boned, with long fingers that wrapped around his with a surprisingly firm grip. Her skin was warm and soft, her nails short but neatly filed.
"how do you do Mr felix".
He had to admire her pride. Then he replied "I do just fine miss Gastel. And you? ".
"I'm quite well, thank you, or will be when you apologize ".
City manners, he thought. Socially correct and absolutely meaningless.
"I never expect a Gastel of kautharlopia to be complaining of a few scratches on her car".
"it was hardly my intention to complain, I only asked for an apology which you refused to give to me" she stated angrily.
"you wouldn't have had the scratches on you car assuming you waited patiently for all my cars to pass" Alex told her.
"so are you telling me that I'm the cause of all this?"she asked.
"unfortunately for you, yes". He said with a grin on his face.
    Her mouth quite simply fell open"you are the most unbelievable, rude and boorish man I have ever met, and right now I demand an apology with immediate response."
"do you really want an apology?"he asked.
"what kind of question is that, yes of course I want an apology" she replied him.
"then you can have it"he said but still stood looking at at her.
"I'm waiting I don't have all da...... "she said only to have her last word muffled by his mouth.
The kiss caught her completely off guard. It was rough and demanding, to a woman accustomed to coating, to requesting, the hard demand left her limp, unable to respond or protest. Then his hands were on her face, his thumbs tracing her jawline. Like the kiss, his palms were hard and thrilling.
He didn't regret it. Though he wasn't a man used to taking from a woman what was not offered, he didn't regret it. Even though she lay very still, he could taste the panicked excitement on her lips. Yes, very sweet, he thought, very innocent. Very dangerous. He lifted his head the moment she started to struggle.
"easy," he murmured, still stroking her chin with his thumbs. Her eyes were more frantic than furious.
"it seems you're not the woman of the world you're reputed to be."
"you are the most offensive man I've ever met ."she stated angrily.
"really? You asked for an apology and it was given you"
"so you called that an apology" she felt so humiliated. "you are really an embarrassment to your family's reputation".
"I can't believe it. A pity you have been spoilt and pampered for so long " jayden stated.
"I'm very late for my case in court, Mr felix. If you'll excuse me?"
He lifted his hands from her shoulders, holding the palms out a moment before dropping them. "try to keep your car out of my way, " he warned "a scratch can be dangerous. "
"I promise you this will be the last " she stated angrily "I wouldn't want to see your annoying face ever again" then she ran off.
