I woke up laying on my back and I looked around. I saw Dick laying on my stomach.

"Dick wake up," I whispered. He didn't move -not even an inch.

He snored louder and I moved gingerly off the floor. Dick didn't wake up.

His black hair moved onto his face. It made me think of my own hair. I moved my hair across the top of my head. My black and white mohawk.

I put my hand to my side. The room was a mess, pillow forts and blankets dispersed across the floor.

The cookies were still sitting on the cooling racks. I took the cookies of the rack and I placed them in a large plastic dish.

"He probably still wants to wants to go to that picnic. So I better wake him up."

He was still sleeping on the ground so I picked up a pillow. I threw the pillow on his face.

"Wake up kid."

He didn't move.

"I didn't want to have to do this to you kid," I said.

I walked towards a cupboard and I grabbed a glass. I filled it up with water and I walked towards Dick's sleeping form.

I shoved the water out of the glass and it fell on Dick. He woke up breathing heavily -cold water it wakes everyone up.

"Jeeze kid, how long does it take for me to wake your ass up. Chop chop time for your picnic, getup."

He got off the ground and he swiped me under my feet. I fell to the ground.

"What the hell was that for!?"

"Language Danny, no wonder Batman doesn't like it when I spend time with you."

"Really he said that," Dick nodded. "Well no wonder, ever since I dissapeared I haven't ever felt like myself. A monster."

"You not a monster."

"How do you know what I really am, for all you know I could be exactly what we both fear."

There was silence.

"I'm sorry."

"I know," I said.

I put the cookies in a light blue and gray backpack that was lying down on the ground.

I put threw the backpack over my shoulder. I left the apartment room and walked down the hall. I looked back to see Dick following.

There was talking and laughing coming from the other's apartment rooms.

"So wheres the picnic," I asked.

"In Happy Harbor," he said.

We both go into the elevator listening to rock music. We go down into the lobby.

"Hello Daniel, how are you," a black man wearing a gray vest said.

He was the man at the desk.

"I'm fine how are you," I said.

"Great never better actually, family and friends," he stopped. Seeing my forlorn look, "So who's he?"

He gestured to Dick, "He, he's my brother, little brother."

"Well hiya kid, my name's Nicky. What's yours?"

"My... my name's Dick."

"Very nice name, is that a nickname," he asked pointing the question at me.

"It's short for Richard," I said.

"How quaint," Nicky said.

"Well we really should be going," I said, "busy schedule."
