The Lay of Our Love (EXO)

In spring we bloomed forth from the blood and soil of our ancestors. The two of us bloomed apart from the other flowers. We were always known to be of a different shade (though you bloomed a little late). And so we strived to grow amidst taller trees (and prettier flowers).

Summer was the peak of the heat. We were full of energy. Your smile was radiant--with your pair of parhelic dimples. Your Lay-ray (LOL) spread its warmth to me (and soon, to the whole world).

Autumn was sepia. The memory of my (.jpg) picture. You were happy to migrate and join them eleven other boys. But for me, it was neither warm or cold. You were to spread your wings and sail with the wind. But some of me wilted, and fell.

Winter. Now, you're as beautiful as a snowflake. Blown far away around the world. I felt cold. And lonely. And hollow. Though happy for you.

If only I knew that some things must end too soon, like school holidays, like summer, like our youth. You're now too high. Too famous. A star blinking steady at night through all seasons.
