I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous for Neal. From what I gathered from research, this group was extremely dangerous. It was the middle of the week and today was the day that the bust was going to go down. The entire day I was uneasy.

After meeting Peter earlier in the week, I told him I wanted him to let me know when everything was over. It was a little past 3:15 and I hadn't gotten anything. I was walking down the usual street, replying to texts I received throughout the day.

I hear men shouting, drawing my attention.

"Haley!"

Out of no where, I was grabbed. I felt a gun pressed to my temple, my eyes squeezed shut. I immediately froze, barely breathing. I finally opened my eyes to see Neal standing across from me, his hands up.

"Let her go, Keller. She has nothing to do with this."

"Is this the girl you kept going on about? She's seems important to you, I think that's enough, no?"

"Me for her." My eyes go wide, tears threatening to spill at any moment.

"Neal-," I began, trying to convince him otherwise.

"Me, for her." He states again, his hands still up. I felt the gun move from my head as I was pushed aside. Everything stopped when the gun went off. It was like time was moving as slow as possible.

I watched as Neal fell to the ground while the other man got away. I ran over to Neal, removing the sweater I was wearing and applied pressure to his chest. His white dress shirt was now covered in blood. He groaned in pain.

"Neal! Hey, you gotta stay with me!"

"H-Haley?"

"It's me, it's me. I'm right here." I wiped under my eyes with my free hand, his blue eyes watching my every move. His eyes struggled to stay open. "Don't you dare close your eyes on me!" I yelled at him, my voice breaking.

"Everything hurts."

"Everything's going to be okay." I sniffled and looked down at the sweater, most of it covered in blood. I didn't care, the only thing I cared about was Neal. "Neal Caffrey, you are going to survive this, do you hear me?"

"You've always been loud, Cooper." He took my open hand and squeezed it.

"We are going to get you out of this."

"I don't think so." I bit my lip at his reply, more tears threatening to spill from my eyes if I blinked.

"Don't say that, Neal. You're going to survive this and get the freedom you worked for. Come on, stay with me. I can see the paramedics now." I felt his eyes on me as I watched the paramedics get closer, Peter coming with them.

"Ma'am, we can take it from here." I nodded, standing up, my legs feeling like the we're going to give out. I watched as the put him onto a gurney, patching over his gunshot wound. I walked over just before the loaded him into the ambulance.

"I need you to fight for me, okay? You can't leave me and June and Peter and everyone. Not now. We need you," I begged. "Please don't go, please don't go and leave me alone..." I said barely above a whisper.

"Ma'am, we have to go now."

"Okay...okay."
