in which effie starts liking someone else.

"uh, are you effie from stray kids?"

effie was getting ready to leave sm's building after visiting amber to get more cookies from her. as she had one sticking out of her mouth and the rest in a plastic bag, someone was calling the girl. effie, looking like a deer in headlights, slowly turned around to face one of the members of nct.

"uh," effie looked around, worried that she was in trouble for entering another company's building. with the cookie in her mouth, all she could do was nod.

the boy looked at his shoes, "oh. i just- i mean, do you need something." the male suddenly realized that it might've come out as rude, and quickly corrected himself.

"no! i mean, are you in need of assistance?" 

effie slightly smiled when seeing how flustered the boy had become. "no thank you. but aren't you from-"

"yeah i am, yours truly." the artist hadn't let effie complete her sentence, knowing that effie knew which group he was from.

effie nodded, still feeling a little awkward, as she still had a cookie in her mouth. "well, i should get going-"

"um, wait. i just wanted to say you're really pre- you're a really good rapper. so uh, fighting!" he held up his hand in the shape of a fist, smiling at her.

effie wondered why he called her when she didn't even know him. of course, she had seen him glancing at her at sbs gayo daejeon, but brushed it off, thinking he was looking at the other members. effie had a lot of people compliment her on her rapping, but never in such a nervous and happy manner. 

effie left the building, asking herself so many questions, but most of all, questioning why she felt a swelling in her heart when he had complimented her.

ok that was a really short chapter, but im so stressed over studying lol. who do you think the boy was????? ill give yall a hint, he isn't korean :)
