I Promise - A Doctor Who Love story

The bond between friends is something that can never fade, especially when your a time lord. So when the to time lords looked at each other for the first time since the end of the time war there was no time for words, they found them self gravitating towards each other till they were in each others arms holding each other close, not letting go in fear that the other would fade away.

" i thought i lost you" he whispered to her.

" i thought i would never see you again" she replied.

" and break my promise, never." the doctor pulled out of the hug and looked over his friend. "You went and regenerated on me." he joked with her.

" your one to talk, what's with the ears" she smiled.

The to of them were in their own little bubble until the screen in the office turned on.

"Open the bulkhead or Rose Tyler dies." the dalek order pointing its gun at rose.

"You're alive!" the Doctor beamed, walking to the screen.

"Can't get rid of me. " Rose smiled before adding " how's mick?"

"I thought you were dead." the doctor said a smile stretched across his face.

" im good rose, better now that i know you're alright." Mick added stepping next to the doctor.

" Open the bulkhead! " the Dalek order again.

"Don't do it!" Rose pleded taking a small step forward.

"What use are emotions if you will not save the woman you love?" the dalek yelled.

"I killed her once. I can't do it again. " the doctor looked down and pushed a button, as mick place a gentle hand on his back as the bulkhead opened and Rose Tyler and the dalek walked through.

"What do we do now, you bleeding heart. What the hell do we do? " statten yelled, causing mick to stiffen and take a step back.

"Kill it when it gets here." Adam said trying to be helpful.

"All the guns are useless, and the alien weapons are in the vault." Goddard supplied.

"Only the catalogued ones." Adam piped up earning a glare from Statten.

The Doctor and Mick were taken by Adam to his work area to his weapon storage where the doctor looked through the weapons.

"Broken. Broken. Br-" the doctor listed

"Hairdryer. " mick cut him off when she saw he didn't know what he was really looking at. Getting a quick thanks in return.

" Mister Van Statten tends to dispose of his staff, and when he does he wipes their memory. I kept this stuff in case I needed to fight my way out one day. " Adam explained as he watched the pair go through his stash of weapons.

"What, you in a fight? I'd like to see that." the doctor commented with sarcasm.

"I could do." he argued

"What're you going to do, throw your A-Levels at 'em? Oh, yes. Lock and load." the doctor said as he charged the gun running out of the room " come along Mickey, lets get Rose" with that the pair of aliens went off running to the first floor of the building.

When the two found rose, they also found the dalek the creature sitting in the sunlight. Rose stood between them blocking the doctors shot.

"Get out of the way. Rose, get out of the way now!" the Doctor called out

"No. I won't let you do this." Rose shouted back. Looking between the two.

"That thing killed hundreds of people." Mick said trying to reason with Rose.
