"You sure you're okay Maya?" Josh asks worriedly as he leans against the door frame of our bedroom, watching me get ready for class. "Yes I'm fine" I assure him even though the room was spinning. I've been sick for a whole week! The first few days we just thought it was food poisoning but now I had no clue what I had and as soon as Josh announced that I should go to the doctor's I tried acting like everything was fine and I wasn't sick anymore.
"Is Elli ready?" I question glancing up at him as I put my shoes. He nods "Yeah she just finished breakfast" he explains. I shoot him a smile and walk past him to the kitchen, the sudden smell of eggs churns my stomach and it takes everything inside of me to not throw up. I quickly go to the living room and lean against the couch taking deep breaths. "Are we going?" Elli asks walking closer to me. A smile pulls at my lips when my eyes land on her, she looks adorable today, wearing a long sleeve black leotard with loose sweatpants and her hair done in two dutch braids.
"I was just waiting for you" I lie standing back up "Josh we're going" I announce making him appear in the doorway. I watch Elli run up to him, giving him a quick hug and kiss on the cheek before I make my way to him. "If you don't feel well, I'll come get you" He says making me smile "I'm just one call away" he adds caressing my cheek lovingly. "I will" I assure him "I'll see you tonight" I lean forwards and kiss his cheek before leaving his embrace and taking Elli's hand, leading her to my car, where I drive off to the studio.

"Straighten those legs!" Maya shouts as we do a part of our routine. We only got 20 steps far and couldn't get further because there was always a few girls messing up and since Maya is a perfectionist she made us do it over and over again until it was exactly how she wanted.
"Julie tighten those legs, you're giving me sloppy turns" she corrects making me sigh. Great we'll have to do it again. "Stephanie you're too focused on the next move" she admits closing her eyes and rubbing her face with her hands.
"Elli, Aylin, Sara, Belle" She calls catching our attention "You girls stand here, you've done the routine perfectly every single time" she says making us walk next to her. We all take a seat on the floor and watch the other girls repeat the steps. Halfway through Stephanie stumbles on her step causing me to look up at Maya who looks beyond done. I knew it was exhausting for her that students couldn't understand simple steps, especially when Aylin and I were 3 years younger, yet doing it easily.
"We're not going to stop until you get it perfectly" she snaps before her eyes widen. She lifts her hand to her mouth and rushes out of the room leaving us confused. "Mommy?" I call out standing up and rushing after her, she runs to the bathroom and grabs the toilet seat steadying herself before throwing up. My eyes widen and I rush to the reception finding Riley.
It's the second week that she's been throwing up! She missed 5 days of dance because she was really sick and she still is. Something's wrong with her. I can't lose her, I can't lose another mom, I just got her.
"Riley!" I shout catching her attention immediately. "What's wrong?" She asks worriedly standing up from her chair. "Maya" I say trying to catch my breath "She's throwing up in the bathroom" I explains causing her brows to furrow.
She looks at Missy beside her and motions her head towards me. "Elli go back to class, Missy will take over" she says movie past me. "What about my mom?" I ask tears filling my eyes "Is she okay?" I ask barely above a whisper. Riley shoots me a soft smile and kneels in front of me, taking my hands in hers, "Maya will be fine, she's just a little sick" she assure me. "Now go back to class" I nod and follow Missy back to the class.

"Thanks Riles" I say shooting her a weak smile as she helps me up from the floor. "Thank Elli she's the one who called me" she admits as I look at myself in the mirror. I look terrible, I didn't bother putting any make up on this morning so I look really pale and the bun I did this morning is falling down with strands of hair coming out everywhere. "She's really worried about you Maya" I sigh nod "So is Josh" I admit before washing my mouth with some water. "What is going on with you?" Riley asks confused. I shrug putting my hair down and running my fingers through my stubborn locks.
"I have no clue. Josh wants me to go to a doctor but I just think he's exaggerating so I've been acting like I've been fine for the past 3 days" I admit turning around to face her.
"How long have you been sick for?" She question curiously, crossing her arms across her chest. "A week and two days" I answer making her nod. "Is it just throwing up?" I nod.
"Everything around me just makes me sick to my stomach, it's like I can't stay in a room with food" I explain causing a small smirk to pull at her lips. "What?" I ask suddenly intrigued by what the brunette had in mind.
"Oh nothing" she waves me off "It's just I find the fact that you could be pregnant funny" she admits with a soft chuckle making my eyes widen. "No" I shake my head vigoursly "There's no way" all she does is shrug. "If you've been active with my uncle lately there is a way" she winks causing my head to spin.
"B-but I've been so careful a-and I-I can't" I stutters causing her to pull me in her arms. "It's alright peaches" she assures me, rubbing her hand soothingly on my back. "Just try a test, maybe you aren't" she assures me with a soft smile as she pulls away.
"Now do you want to continue your class or head home and rest"
"I'll continue my class" she nods and we both head to the room where I was teaching. When Elli's eyes land on mine a wide smile pulls at her lips and she runs towards me. She wraps her little arms around my waist, hugging me tightly. "You're okay" she observes making me nod, I kneel down and find her eyes filled with unshead tears. "Why are you crying baby?" I ask suddenly worried.
"I don't like seeing you sick" she admits as tears start to fall "I don't want to lose you, I just go you" she whispers causing my eyes to widen. "No Elli you won't lose me" I assure her pulling her in my arms, "I'm just sick that's all" I add kissing her temple.
"I won't ever leave you" I whisper pulling away to look at her gorgeous dark blue eyes. I wipe her tears, shooting her a soft smile, "Don't cry baby girl" she nods. "Now come on let's continue" I add quickly giving her a kiss on the cheek before Missy and I carry on with the class.
