"Where's mommy?" Elli asks furrowing her brows as she watches me move all the boxes from my bedroom to our living room, whilst eating the breakfast I made her. Usually Maya and I always had breakfast with Elli as a family, but today was a busy day and we need to get a move on if we want to get everything done in time. "Mommy isn't feeling really well right now" I answer putting the boxes I was carrying down before leaning against the wall that leads to the hallway to the bedrooms. Today was moving day and as thrilled as I was to finally move to our new house and leave this apartment, Maya ended up throwing up most of the night and feeling horrible. I tried my best to make her feel better but there isn't much I can do to help a pregnant woman.

"Is it because of the baby?" Elli asks before shoving a forkful of eggs in her mouth, "Mhm" I hum nodding my head "Yeah, baby is giving mommy a hard time" I reply making a sad smile pull at my daughter's lips. "Can we bring her breakfast in bed? Maybe that will make her feel better" I shake my head "Mommy doesn't want food, it'll just upset her tummy even more" I explain "But you can make her a get well card or drawing, I'm sure she'll love that" I watch as Elli's eyes widen along with her smile.

"That's a great idea daddy!" she exclaims jumping out of her seat "And I have the perfect idea" she grins before rushing to her room making me chuckle.

I continue bringing all the boxes from all the rooms into the living room as Elli settles in the dinning room occupying herself with a drawing for Maya. Lucas and Riley come after a few minutes and I'm really thankful to have a niece who'd do anything for you.

Have children they said. Get pregnant they said. You won't regret it they said. Well right now I do, you never realise how bad morning sickness is until you're on the floor of your bathroom against the toilet trying to stop the room from spinning and the food you ingested from coming out. Don't get me wrong I'm excited to have this baby and I know it'll all be worth it when I finally get him or her in my arms but right now I just regret getting knocked up.

Once I finally stopped throwing up Josh let me sleep whilst he took care of the whole moving process. I was happy that he didn't make me do anything and just left me to rest, he'd occasionally come check up on me asking me if I needed or wanted anything, it was really sweet and I couldn't be more grateful to have someone like him in my life.

When my bedroom door opens again I think its Josh checking up on me once more or Riley since she's here, but when a little blonde girl walks in, a smile pull at my lips. "Mommy are you awake?" She whispers as she comes closer to me, "Yes baby girl I am" I answer softly.

"Are you okay?" She asks worriedly making my heart swell, I have a daughter who cares about me. "Yeah, just a little tummy ache" I assure "Its because of the baby right?" I nod, "I just have to get used to having a baby in my tummy that's all".

"Do you want to come up here?" I question patting the bed. She nods and climbs up, taking Josh's side of the bed. "I made something for you" she confesses making my brows raise, "Oh really?" I ask surprised. "Mhm" she hums pulling out a piece of paper from her pocket. "Here" she hands it to me and I kiss her cheek before looking at what she gave me.

"To mommy, from Elli" I read with a smile before unfolding it. A gasp tumbles from my lips as I stare at the beautiful drawing she made for me. "You did this?" She giggles and nods, "Yeah" she answers.

"Oh my goodness, it's so good" I gush as my eyes scan over each detail of her drawing. When my eyes catch what she wrote in the corner, my eyes fill with tears. "I love you so much mommy, I hope you feel better soon because I don't like seeing you sick, I like it better when you smile and laugh" I read out loud before looking at my sweet daughter. "Baby that's so nice of you" I gush putting the paper down and wrapping my arms around her so I can pull her closer to me.

"I love it, I love it, I love it" I repeat kissing her cheek, "And I love you" I say pulling away and pushing her hair back. "So much, you know that right?" I ask caressing her cheek, she nods before glancing at my stomach. "When the baby comes and she's a girl, will I still be your daughter?" She questions causing my brows to furrow.

"Of course you will" I reply immediately, "Hey just because I'm having a baby doesn't mean I'm going to stop being a mom to you or that you'll stop being my daughter" I assure her. "We're a family, we love each other and no one gets left out okay?" She nods and snuggles closer to me.

"Thank you mommy" my heart melts and I hold her tighter against me. "You'll always be my first baby girl" I whisper kissing the top of her head. I close my eyes taking in the time I have with my daughter and taking full advantage of it.

"Josh you have to see this" Riley insists grabbing my hand and pulling me to the hallway of my apartment. Lucas and I just came back from dropping the first load of boxes and we were now going to load the small moving van once more. It sucked that the company who rents these vans didn't have a bigger truck available, especially when Maya and I both have quite a lot of stuff to move.

"I was looking for Elli because she said she was going to go see Maya, but after a few minutes she never came back out so I went to check on the both of them and what I found is the cutest thing ever" she gushes as we stop in front of my bedroom door. I slowly open the door making sure not to make too much noise and when my eyes land on Maya and I's bed my heart melts and a smile pulls at my lips.

Both girls are fast asleep, Maya has her arms wrapped around my daughter who's snuggled against Maya. I gaze at them for a few minutes loving the sight of them, they both hold such a big part of my heart. I love how close they are, I never thought I'd find the person who Elli would ever consider as a mom, let alone a person that I would be madly in love with. We've all been through a lot but we managed to find our way back to one another.

When Lucas and I finally finish moving all the boxes we drive the van back to where we rented it and drive back to the apartment with my car. It's around 5 in the afternoon which means we have enough time to go grocery shopping to get some food for our new house since we're moving in tonight. I thank Lucas and say goodbye to my niece who both leave since they needed to pick up their kids.

I wander around the empty house and shake my head when I find my girl's in Elli's old dance room. Maya is sitting on the floor in front of Elli who looks like she's stretching her foot. "Good, make sure you really stretch that foot out to get a really nice point" Elli nods before redoing the routine of rotating her feet, stretching her toes and all that.

"There isn't one day you can go without doing ballet, is there?" Both whip their head in my direction surprised to see me making me chuckle. "I mean not really what did you expect?" I shrug and walk closer to them, "That you'd be more excited to go to the new house" I answer. "We can go now?" Elli asks excitedly her smile getting wider as she waits for my answer.

"First we have to get some food but yes" I nod, "Can you help me up?" Maya asks holding her hands up. "Mhm" I nod taking her hands and getting her back on her feet. "Gosh that's the last time I'm gonna sit on the floor" she breathe out running a hand through her hair, "I don't think I've ever been that uncomfortable" she confesses.

"Than why did you stay on the floor?" I ask confused, "Because I had to explain to your daughter some food stretches plus I couldn't get back up" she admits making me chuckle but the glare she gives me makes me shut up. "Sorry baby" I apologise wrapping my arm around her and pulling her against me before leaning down to kiss her cheek.

"So let's go grocery shopping!" I exclaim ushering the girl out of the house. "Bye, bye house" Elli says right as we're about to walk through the front door. "You've been a good house, I'm going to miss you" she says with a sad smile.

"Come on baby girl" Maya smiles reaching her hand out for my daughter to take.
