He didn't last long enough though. He couldn't live long enough not to hurt everyone and everything around him...

_____________________________________________________________________________

It was May 20. Sophie and Daniel had just gotten off of school and were running home. Since both siblings to go the same school, they usually walked home together but they had to run due to the rain They weren't prepared for what they'll come home to...

Sophie walking in first and shook off all the water that soaked her fur. She felt like something was wrong so after Daniel did the same, she took his hand and they both walked around the house. Out of the corner of her eye, Sophie saw a little bit of blood on the wall. It looked as if though it was splattered. She told Daniel to close his eyes as she turned the corner...

(TRIGGER WARNING!!!)

Blood on the walls, claw marks, and death. That's all Sophie saw as she stared in horror at her father's hanging dead body. Lightning flashed, lighting up the room.

"He hung and shot himself..." "Huh?? I couldn't hear you! You're whispering again!"

She forgot for a second that Daniel was in the room. She quickly wrapped him in a tight embrace before telling him to go pack his most essential items for a long trip. He innocently nodded and ran upstairs to go pack. Meanwhile, Sophie examined the horrific scene before her. As she looked for a sign of explanation, she saw a note with a few drops of blood on it.

'Sophie,

I know you would never let Daniel see this so this directed to you. Your mother and I never told you this but I have gone close to insane before and I almost went rouge because of what has happened in the past. The only thing that would keep me sane was your mother. After she left us I didn't last long and I didn't want to hurt you or your brother... so I ended my life before I could end yours. Please hurry and leave, I called the police so there wouldn't be any evidence of this... I'm sorry for this...

I Love You Both,

Diablo'

Tears streamed down her face harder than the rain outside as she finished reading the letter. She then quickly ran upstairs to pack her things, taking the note with her.

__________Timeskip___________________________________________________

After they finished packing they heard sirens outside, police sirens. Red and blue flashing light poured into the room and police men could be heard from outside. Sophie didn't want them to know she and her brother were still alive, so she told him to open the window while she locked their bedroom door and gathered their bags. The police barged in and searched the kitchen for the suicide victim.

As they were searching, Sophie managed to sneak out the window and fly off with Daniel to a safer place than the place they once called home. It was hard to fly during the rain so Sophie ended up landing in an alleyway near a restaurant. Sophie tried to make a shelter with a few boxes but it was only enough to fit Daniel. Sophie ended up laying on the soaked concrete while thinking about what she just witnessed. She felt she could have done more and now it haunts her.

She will never see the house the same ever again...
