A/N: Something short and sweet to appease your palettes UvU Working hard to finish some of your requests! Please be patient! Enjoy!
Winters in Tokyo were especially hard for you. You hated the cold. You were used to the heat of summer, not this. Your nose burned and sniffled as you walked alongside your husband Jotaro, him not being phased in the slightest as the heat from his breath expelled into the air. Despite it being cold as balls, you sorta let it go since you had your Jotaro to huddle up against.
Just then, a particularly hard gust of wind blew past and you quickly ducked in Jotaro's arm. The stoic man admittedly thought your act was cute, but of course he'd never saw that out loud.
"You didn't need to come, ya know."
You eyed the insanely tall male with a pout, his eyes darting from yours on contact,
"Yes, I did. I'd never forgive myself if you got hurt while I was just home being a bum."
Jotaro sighed,
"I'm only going out for milk, (name). I'm not going on a freaking expedition."
"I know," you beamed, "but I don't care," you wrapped yourself around his arm,
"Besides, we haven't been out together in a while."
Jotaro was quiet on that note. In a way, you were right. He was especially busy with work lately researching migration patterns, so it was an understatement to say he had been neglecting you and your needs. He could see the desperation in your eyes when you insisted on accompanying him on this short trip and in all honesty, he felt guilty about it.
Jotaro tilted his hat and muttered his tagline which made you smile since that usually meant he had given in to your whims. However, you were not expecting him to suddenly take your hand and drag you into a small homely building adorned with fabric signs that bolstered a phrase you were all too familiar with.
"Welcome!" the people cheered with wide smiles as you entered their ramen eatery, one female hurrying over to you with a sweaty brow,
"Welcome! What can I get you today?"
"Two pork bowls. Extra noodles on one," Jotaro said as he sat at the bar, you following in slight shock.
"Of course! It'll be right out!" the woman beamed as she hurried to the cooks to get your order in.
You looked to Jotaro who was intent on not meeting your gaze as he fiddled with the red pepper shaker that was previously idle. You pursed your lips and stared down at your hands, thinking about the situation.
It was rare for Jotaro to just up and take you out without notice. He always liked to plan things out and didn't like wasting time dilly-dallying around...but for some reason, he let that rule slide just for today. It had you intrigued.
"Two pork bowls for the lovely couple!" the waitress said with a wink and placed your bowls down in front of you.
"T-Thank you." you said with a bashful bow, a little embarrassed she called you out like that.
Even as you ate, Jotaro was quiet, just enjoying the warm meal in front of him as were you. Ramen was a simple meal, but in this damn cold it was like the holy savior for your freezing body. You let out a hearty sigh after you finished downing the delicious broth in the bowl, a satisfied smile on your lips. You turned to Jotaro again with a faint blush. A hot bowl of ramen for a cold soul. How thoughtful.
In the midst of your daydreaming, Jotaro had already placed the payment on the counter and was standing from his seat. You hurried after him as he walked slightly ahead of you, brushing up against his side once you caught up. You hesitated for a moment, your natural shy personality kicking in.
"Thank you, Jotaro. You...didn't have to do that."
The ebony-haired man was mute for a moment and stayed that way as his hand met your waist and pulled you flush with his body. Your face burned, but somehow, you managed to find the courage to look up at the brute. He still refused your stare, but you could tell those pretty ocean eyes had softened at your warmth at his side.
"Let's just...get the milk tomorrow," he said lowly, making your poor heart skip a thousand beats.
You couldn't help but forget the biting cold on your face as a blushing heat consumed your cheeks. Your lips curved into a shaky smile and you buried yourself into his side, gripping his coat like a little child clinging to their parent.
Jotaro glanced down at you and let the tiniest of smiles appear on his usually stern mien and sighed,
"Yare yare..."
