Okuyasu Nijimura x Reader: Secret Kisses

A/N: Here's a little drabble for all the Oku lovers out there (including myself)! I'm the type of girl that fell in love with this dumb cutie before Josuke (I mean just look at him! Would you please go out with me, (name)!?

You chuckled to yourself as you remembered how your boyfriend Okuyasu looked when he had first asked you out. His lips were pouted and his eyes were so desperate, like a little puppy begging for its favorite chew toy. True, he did look cute like that, but he also looked so very handsome when he was being all manly too. Like that one time he--

"(l/name)?"

"Huh?" You snapped from your daydreams and spontaneously answered the question the teacher had asked.

"Correct."

You sighed in relief, but were flustered by your thoughts. Who knew just thinking about Okuyasu could be this distracting...?

It had only been a week since you and Okuyasu officially became an item, and you two already seemed like you'd been together for months. You'd bring him his favorite sandwiches from St. Gentlemen's and he'd buy you sweets from the candy store you loved to go to.

Despite Okuyasu always being so out there and bursting, he was somewhat more calm and collected around you. Sure, he'd have his adorable moments of loud talking and passionate bouts, but he didn't do it as often as when he was with Josuke. It was probably because he knew you were quiet yourself and were easily embarrassed by any unwanted attention.

Still, you honestly didn't mind the judging stares you got when you were seen with Okuyasu, because he'd just stare right back at them with as much hostility. He made you feel happy and that was all that mattered.

When school was out, Okuyasu would volunteer every time to walk you home. This was your favorite part of the day since it was the only time you could show some affection to your boyfriend. The school didn't allow PDA, and you and Okuyasu followed that rule...to some degree.

"(name)! (name)!" Okuyasu said as he came bolting down the corridor in your direction.

You were surprised as he suddenly stopped in front of you, his height making him tower over you. You laughed a little as some people stared at him like he was crazy,

"Oku, don't just come stomping after me. You might cause a stampede," you said with a quiet laugh.

Okuyasu blushed,

"Sorry, I was just excited to see you."

You smiled tenderly and hooked your hand around his,

"Let's go."

Okuyasu grinned nervously, but he still seemed happy you took the initiative this time,

"Ok!"

Your lunch spot was always the spare science room on the second floor. It was roomy and you didn't need to turn the light on since the wall was lined with a bunch of windows. Also, you both usually sat on the floor near the door since it was less likely you'd be seen through the door's window and get caught. It was pretty nice actually. With the view of the trees and sky, it was really good change of pace.

"So, how's your day going?" You said as you munched down on some crispy tempura you had made that morning.

Okuyasu groaned a little, his mouth sneering,

"Boring! Most of this stuff is hard for me to get, but I'm trying..."

You patted his shoulder,

"It's ok. You know I can help if you need it. Koichi too," you said with a reassuring grin.

Okuyasu hummed, scratching his flushed cheeks,

"I think Koichi would be best...I know for sure I'd end up getting distracted by you."

Your grin simmered to a bashful curve as your eyes looked down at your food.

"Oh..! Uhm, not in a bad way!"

You giggled,

"I know, Oku..."

You looked up at him with cheeks dusted a subtle pink. The room went quiet as you both stared at each other, the air filling with a slight tension.

You both leaned towards each other and exchanged a two second kiss before retreating. Your face bloomed red, but you couldn't help the wide smile spread across your face. Okuyasu was the same, his eyes sparkling and smitten.

"I love you, (name)," he said lowly.

You chuckled and leaned on his shoulder,

"I love you too, Oku."

Sure they were quick, fleeting kisses, but the fact you did them so privately and secretly made them seem that much more exciting and satisfying. ♥️
