SAL'S POV

Today is a regular day in Nockfell. I'm at Wendigo Lake enjoying the fresh air. I was skipping rocks on the lake when I heard some voices come from behind me.

I turn my head and see three figures walking closer to me. I continued skipping rocks until the three people were beside me.

"Nice throw!" A male voice spoke. I turned my head to be met with three kids around my age.

One had long dark brown hair with dark brown eyes. He was wearing a Sanitys Fall t-shirt along with some jeans. Another kid had long brown hair and emerald green eyes wearing black leggings and an oversized purple shirt. She looked really pretty. The other kid I couldn't identify if they were male or female. They wore a white mask and had bright blue hair put into pigtails. They wore a black sweater and maroon jeans that ripped at the knees.

"Thanks," I turn to throw another rock. The rock went further then expected. I was satisfied with my throw.

"Nice!" The girl said with a sweet, excited voice. She had the voice of an angel. "Thanks I try my best," I flip my hair over my shoulder just to be extra! 

We all laugh. "I'm Ashley, but you can call me Ash!" The girl introduced herself. "I'm Larry and this is Sal." The boy with long brown hair said. I looked to Sal and he gave me a small wave.

I smiled to each of them. "I'm y/n," They all nod and I sit down on the dry grass. They all sit as well with Ash on my left and Sal on my right.

"Are you new here?" Ash asks. I shake my head 'no'. She looks at me confused. "Really? I've never seen you around." "I'm home schooled." I look out onto the lake.

"Cool. I wish I was home schooled," Larry speaks from the other side of Sal. "Yeah it's great. I don't have to deal with bullies". I let out a chuckle.

We talked for a couple of minutes about this and that. I realized Sal was male and his mask was a prosthetic. My phone started ringing. It was my dad.

"Hey dad,"
"Where are you!?"
"Sorry I lost track of time I'm at the lake,"
"Oh please get home now. Suppers almost ready."
"K bye dad."

I hung up the phone and stood up. "Where you going?" Larry asks. "Got to go home bye guys." I start walking, but someone stopped me. I turned around and saw Sally. I looked down to his hand holding my arm and a small blush appeared on my face.

"S-sorry but will we e-ever see you again?" He let go and looked me into the eyes. I smiled brightly. "Of course!" I hugged him before I left.

As I walked back, I made sure to sway my hips a little more, knowing they were looking.

SAL'S POV
I only just met y/n today, but I sorta caught feelings for her. I mean she's really cool and not like most girls I've met.

She was wearing some jeans with a black jacket also a pair of red hightops. She also didn't act like most girls. She wasn't afraid to burp in front of us. Which weirdly turns me on.

I watched her sway her hips, as she walked away. How is she doing this to me? I just met her!

Ash went home as did Larry and I. As Larry and I walked we talked about Sanity's Fall new album.

"So do you like her?" Larry asks as we enter the building. "Who?" I question him. "Y/n? I see the way you look at her" I start blushing under my prosthetic. "I knew it!" He jumps around like a little girl.

"It doesn't matter, she won't like me back. I mean I just met her" I look down to my feet. "Only one way to find out!" He plops into his bed. "How?" I was concerned.

He didn't answer then pulled out his phone. He dialed a number then I remembered we got y/n's number. Oh God what's he doing?

"Hey y/n! I have a question for you!" I could hear y/n speak because Larry put it on speaker. "Ok ask away," her voice was calm. "So how do you feel about Sal?" He was trying to hold back laughter. I turned red and started pacing around the room.

"I-I-I well......his cute and nice and funny and I guess you could say I like him." my eyes widen and I stare at the phone. She like me!?

"Nice! Sal likes you too!" Larry's voice was filled with excitement. I started silently yelling at him. He rolled his eyes then y/n spoke again.

"He does!? Awesome!" My heart melted. "Well see you around, byeeee!" Larry hung up before y/n could speak again. I sighed in relief that she didn't reject me.

"Looks like a future girlfriend!" Larry snickered. I rolled my eyes and blushed like a mad man.

My crush likes me!? Wow. Who knew you could fall head over heels for someone in one day!
