(A/N: go back and reread chapter 12! I fixed a few things that will be key in the future of this book!!)

I roll over and hit the alarm clock beside the bed. "C'mon Matt we have school." He groans then pulls the covers from himself and walks over to his dresser. "Mhm is it supposed to be hot?" I raise an eyebrow at his morning voice and clear my throat, "No, it'll be in the sixties." He nods and waves his hand as he fumbles through his drawer. I get up and make my way into the bathroom where I get ready.

I exit the bathroom and head into Matt's room where I begin undressing. After I finished slipping on my underwear and bra I feel a set of hands rest of my almost bare waist. "Matt, not now." I turn around and he wraps his arms around me. "I went downstairs, you have a text from Nick." I go to take my phone from his sweatpants pocket but he shoos my hand away. "Hey, not so fast, I wanna kiss first." I roll my eyes and peck him quickly. "Now give me my phone." He smiles and hands it to me.

I stand there still slightly undressed as I check my phone.

Nick: hey how is everything? schools going well, probably stopping by next weekend.

Me: no way, can't wait! Jonah had a fall out, call me later tonight to talk about it.

I set my phone on the dresser and look to Matt. "Gosh, what the hell are you staring at?" He bites his lip, "You." I roll my eyes and laugh as I slip on my jeans. "You are corny as shit right now. You gotta have something better than that." He walks over to me and pulls our bodies closer. He looks down into my eyes as his hands fumble with my bra strap. Once it's undone he slips it off and tosses is aside. He leans down and connects his lips to mine. Usually at this point I would expect him to instantly try to make out with me but this time he doesn't. This time he's kissing me and it feels more passionate than sexual. I run my fingers through his hair and he grips my thighs as he lifts me up so my legs drape around his waist. He walks over to bed and lays down. Between our kiss I say, "C'mon Matt, we have school." But he bites my lip, "Then I guess we'll be late."

I walk into the building half way through second period. When I get in the office the secretary gives me a nasty look and motions us to come to her desk. "Why are you late?" I speak up, "My boyfriend drives me, but he was having car problems." She nods causiously and writes me a pass.

I walk out to the parking lot where I see Jordan leaning against my car blowing a bubble. "Not today Jordan I need to go see Jonah at the hospital." She walks around to the passenger door and gets in. "What do you mean? What happened? You said we were carpooling to work today." I get in and buckle up, "He died, then came back, and is now in critical condition. I need to go get Ana from school then drive an hour to see him, please tell Sophie that I cannot work today and will pick up a shift tomorrow." Jordan nods, "I'm so sorry Drew, can you drop me off at my house though?" I nod and start the ignition.

About five minutes from her house I blurt out, "Matt and I had sex this morning." She bursts out laughing, "Don't tell me that's why you were late." I bite my lip, "Oops. But, Jordan." She looks to me, "But, Jordan what?" I take a deep breath, "It wasn't just sex. It wasn't like we were just two horny teenagers who wanted to bang each other, it felt... different." She smiles wide, "Did you... Make love?" The way she says make love almost makes me gag, but maybe she's right. "I don't know, but it felt so different. I mean, you know what it's life to bang a guy, but not out of love... Right?" She nods, "Pretty sure I'm not the only girl who's gotten drunk at one of Johnny's parties and hooked up with him." I look to her, shocked, "YOU WHAT?!" Her cheeks turn bright red, "Oh c'mon it was a one time thing." My jaw is still hanging open as I take another glance at her, "Or maybe a two or three time thing. But in my defense the first time was just a drunk bang." I burst out laughing but instantly cover my mouth. "Wow, dang girl. But seriously, it was so different and I felt so much emotion, ugh." Out of the corner of my eye I see her looking at me and nodding, "Mhm, you are totally falling in love with him." I roll my eyes, "Ugh! I already told you, I do not believe in love." I pull up alongside her house and look to her, "C'mon Drew, you know somewhere deep down inside you, you believe in it... And you know your in love with Matt." She opens the door and shuts it behind her without another word.

I arrive at Ana's school a few minutes later and head in to the office.

"Hi I'm here to pick up Ana Rivers." The woman sitting at the desk smiles, "Are you her guardian?" I smile back, "I'm here sister, I'm picking her up to go see our brother who's staying at the Children's Hospital." Her eyes fill with pity as she picks up the phone and calls her room. "Hello. Yes, Mrs. Johansen? May you please send up Ana Rivers for dismissal. Thank you very much." She sets the phone down and looks to me, "Have a seat right there, she will be here shortly." I nod and take a seat on the couch next to the office door. A few minutes later she walks into the office and ready to go. I stand up and smile as I go over and sign her out.

We get to the hospital around four and we head straight to Jonah. Before we get to the door I hear laughter and when I walk in I see Jonah and Matt playing Sorry. "Hey, Matt! What are you doing here?" He looks to me and smiles, "I thought Jonah could use a guy to hangout with." I smile, "Awe that's so sweet! Are you having fun Jonah?" He looks up from the game and smiles wide, "Yes! We are on round two, I won the first game." I nod and look down at Ana, "Go take a seat in the chair next to Matt, I'll go get you some M&Ms," I look up at Matt, "hey, Matt, come take a walk with me." He nods and looks to Jonah, "I'll be right back, why not you talk to Ana for a bit."

We walk out the room and he takes my hand in his, "How was your day?" I smile to myself and shrug, "Eh, fine. I was worrying about how Jonah was and thinking about other stuff." He nods, "Hmm, nice. Mine was pretty good, I got an A on that pre-calc test." I stop and look to him, "Oh my gosh!! Good job." I get on my tippy toes and kiss his cheek. His cheeks turn red, "Oh c'mon I did not just make the bad boy blush." He presses his lips to mine. "You always do."

I feel my phone vibrate and turn over. It's 12 am.

Jess: hey bitch, so, how can I get Matt to fuck me?

I peer at the screen, and half awake text back.

Me: Idfk, be cliche and ask to study with him

I roll back over and shut my eyes.

I walk out the building and meet up with Jordan at my car. As I'm about to get in I see Matt walking by. I run up to him and smile, "Hey!" He smiles back and leans down, kissing me. "Hey! You headed to work?" I nod, "Yup! What are you doing tonight?" He shrugs, "Jess wants to study, so she's coming over at 4." I nod and smile, "I'll text you later!" I nod and get in the car.

When we get to work we both get started and I take over the register while Jordan takes over the floor.

After about three hours I start to get tired and a little anxious. Should I be as worried as I am about Matt and Jess? What the fuck Drew... You and Matt aren't even dating. I roll my eyes at myself as a costumer comes up to pay.

We both get in the car and I start the car. "So how's your mom and brother doing?" Jordan smiles, "Good, thanks for the advice you gave me, having me to steer her helped out a lot." I smile and turn onto the high way, "Good, I'm happy you were able to prevent it." She bites her lip, "What exactly happened with your family?" I hesitate for a moment, "My dad is what happened to my family."

I pull up to the curb and unlock the doors, "Tell your family I say hello." She smiles as she grabs her bag from the back, "Well I already know they'll scream HELLO DREW right back at me." I laugh as she shuts the door.

When I get home I walk in and the house reeks. My heart starts to pound and I throw my bag onto the couch. I peer into the kitchen and see my mom smoking and cleaning like crazy. I run over to her and yank the joint from her mouth, "And what the fuck do you think your doing? You just stopped and you were headed on track and NOW you do this. What the fuck are you doing to yourself?" She rolls her eyes, "Help me clean, George is gonna be here in a half an hour and I want this house spotless."
