Boruto : the future

Things that need to be done...Part 1

With that little hope born in her heart Sarada along with Mitsuki excused them selfs, once the two left everyone's eyes turned towards Boruto who was still looking out the window, "Sochi, are you going to forgive her?" Asked Hinata
Boruto gave no response, he just stood there then he turned with a sad smile on his face before speaking, "they think they are not married, but legally wise they got married the moment they said 'i do' in front of the priest", Boruto opened one of the drawer at Naruto's table and pulled out a file and to no ones surprise the first report was Sarada and Mitsuki's marriage certificate
"Boruto, I know your hurt, you don't have to forgive her any time soon, I don't think this is the best advice to give but date another girl, who knows maybe Sarada is not the perfect girl for you?. Your young travel maybe, have some fun" Sasuke advices, to which Boruto sighed but non the less nod, Sasuke knew that if Boruto dated another girl Sarada would be crushed, Sasuke sighed before excusing him self and left to buy a couple of containers of ice cream along with a lot of tissues knowing that he and his wife might need them in the near future
Once Sasuke left grumbling about how he had a troublesome daughter, "Sochi since you and Sarada-chan aren't together now, why don't you stay at home?, maybe just until you forgive Sarada-chan enough to live with her" Asked Hinata
"You know Kaa-san I was going to come home either way" Said Boruto smiling at Hinata
"Yay! Onii-san is going to stay with us!" Cheered Himawari
Boruto chuckled then looked at his father before speaking, "tou-san..." and luckily Naruto knew what Boruto was going to say so he closed his eyes and said "don't worry, I still plan of keeping the seat for atleast six months", Boruto smiled and nodded before saying
"Well you guys head home I'll meet you guys after I pick Yumi-chan up"
Hinata and Hima nodded before leaving the office, as soon as Hinata and Himawari left Boruto lost him smile and turned to his father, "Hokage-Sama please call for Shikamaru-san" requested Boruto
Naruto nodded and sent a clone to fetch Shikamaru, "Hokage-Sama may I ask how the relation between Hanabi Hyuga and Konohamaru Saratobi is?" Questioned Boruto, "two months after you left for your mission both got married to each other" answered Naruto, Boruto nodded and started "Hokage-Sama I know I have no say in this but I believe any younger then 21 or 22 is not a suitable age to become a Kage, thus I am implying that you let Sarada Uchiha become the kyuudaime not the hachidaime. I believe Konohamru would be a suitable successor for you and take on the title of Hachidaime"
Naruto leaned back thinking, "I'll think your statement over and act upon my decision" just as Naruto said this Shikamaru entered the room, "you called for me Hokage-Sama?"
"Yes Shikamaru, I did but it was on Boruto's request" spoke the blond Kage
The Kage and his advisor turned their gaze towards the blond jonin, "I would not like to go into detail at the current moment but I will do so on a later date, what I request right now is for a Kage summit to be called for, the information I want to reveal in this meeting would be classified and should be kept a secret from the general public and most of our shinobi forces. So I wish for you to inform them that who ever is attending should have Kage level clearance" spoke Boruto
Hearing for a Kage summit with Kage level clearance surprised both men, "are you sure what ever you want to discuss is required of this much secrecy?" Asked Shikamaru along with Naruto who nodded
"Unless you want the entire five great nations to know that they are about to go through another war, yes the information discussed should be kept in private" informed Boruto closing his eyes and crossing his arms, hearing that another war was coming surprises the men, "how much time do we have to prepare?" Asked the spiky pony tailed genius
"Three months" answered the blond closing his eyes and crossing his arms, "that's not a lot of time..." Naruto thought out loud, "it's not so how soon can we have this summit?" Asked Boruto, "if we want to be properly able to fight this war we need to get this discussion over with as soon as possible and start war planning" spoke Shikamaru, "I agree, I'll send word and the summit can be held in two days time" spoke the Kage to which the young jonin nodded in understanding and excused him self but at the door he said "you will be joining us for dinner won't you tou-san?", Naruto smiled and nodded at his son who left after he got his answer

Boruto exited the office and began walking through the streets towards the Uchiha residence, as he walked through the village he was greeted by almost everyone but Boruto was in his own thought to notice, Inojin who was one of the people who greeted him noticed that there was something off with his fellow blond
He walked up to Boruto and put a hand on his shoulder and within seconds he was laying on the ground with his right arm behind him in an arm lock, "oh inojin sorry about that, I was in my own thoughts and when you put your hand on my shoulder I acted on instinct" apologised Boruto getting up and offering his hand to the platinum blond who happily took it
Standing up and dusting him off inojin started, "so when did you come back?", "earlier this morning" Replied Boruto, "oh. So what were you thinking about so deep in thought?" Asked inojin, Boruto smirked and said "get a Kage level clearance and ask me than" to which inojin rolled his eyes before Boruto spoke again, "anything I should know about while I was away?"
Hearing this inojin's smile half disappeared, "Yea Sarada and Mitsuki are married..."
Boruto smiled a sad smile and replied, "I already know that, anything else like if my sister is with anyone?"
Hearing this inojin chuckled and said, "in the last two years she has received over a hundred proposals for her hand in marriage, and a lot more to date her but she rejected them all. Some guy even tried to kidnap her but the guy let her free when she told him that if she was missing or harmed when you return to the village you would track him down make him beg for death, everyone is actually a bit worried that something is wrong with her because she is at the age where she should find an interest in boy but she shows non"
Boruto just shook his head at her sister using he love he head for her to her advantage but was slightly happy she was not in any relationship but worried that she didn't show any interest in boy, he pushed that thought aside for now and said "anyone in our gen in any new relationships? Or anything new?"
"I think it would be best to not talk about that" laughed inojin
Accepting the answer Boruto left the platinum blond, the blond was slowly walking towards the Uchiha residence in thought whether he should tell Sasuke about the Sumit
Boruto reached the Uchiha residence deep in thought, without making a decision Boruto knocked on the door and was alittle startled when Sarada opened the door and knew that she was not expecting him due to the look on her face
"Bo..Boruto-kun, why are you here?" Nervously Asked Sarada, "I'm here to talk to sensei and pick Yumi-chan up as I'm hoping to ask her to stay with me for a while" Replied Boruto
"Oh...come on in, I'll go and get papa and Yumi is in the living room watching mama cook..." Said Sarada moving to the side to make space for him slightly disappointed as she was hoping he was here for her
Boruto Nodded and went in past Sarada, after closing the door Sarada went up the stairs but not before calling Yumi, "Yumi-chan!, sweetie Papa is here for you!" And as soon as she called for her rapid foot steps were heard, just as Sarada disappeared up the stairs Yumi can running around the corner and jumped into her father's embrace, "Papa!" Screamed Yumi as she jumped, Boruto caught her and hugged her, "Papa what are you doing here?" Came the bubbly voice of his adopted daughter
Putting her down Boruto Replied "well sweetheart, I'll be staying with Hinata-baa-chan so I came to ask you if you wanted to stay with me?", hearing the question the six year old started jumping up and down saying 'yes', seeing his daughter jump up and down made the blond chuckle, "well sweetheart go tell your mama and ask for her help to pack some cloths" and pointed up the stairs
Yumi nodded multiple times before running up the stairs to find her mother, at the same time Sasuke was coming down the stairs, "Sarada said you were looking for me"
Boruto nodded and said "Sensei, the village has only four nin who have Kage level clearance and you are one of those four, we are having a Sumit with Kage level clearance and I am requesting you attend"
Hearing that a Sumit of such high clearance made the Uchiha head's blood run cold, "I will try to attend, but what is the Sumit about?"
"I can not release any info at the moment but I can tell you this much it about what I discovered during my journey" Replied the blond Jonin
"Very well" spoke Sasuke just as Yumi can running down the stairs with a slightly larger then average scroll in hand
Boruto took the scroll of the girls hands and left through the door oblivious to the fact that Sarada heard about the Sumit

The father and daughter were walking down the streets, then it hit Boruto that he didn't know the way to the house
"Yumi-chan do you know where your grandparents live?"
Hearing this Yumi giggle and said, "Yay!! I know something Papa doesn't know! Ojii-san and obaa-chan live out there" pointing out side the village
"Sweetheart that can mean anywhere on the other side of the village walls" Said Boruto sweat dropping
Hearing this Yumi blushed and took Boruto's hand and began walking to wards the eastern gate
The trip was becoming alittle too quiet for Boruto especially one with his usually bubbly daughter, "Yumi-chan is something wrong?"
Yumi shook her head, "then sweetheart why are you so quiet?" Asked Boruto worried
"I thought I knew something that Papa didn't know but Papa out smarted me" answered Yumi cutely pouting
Boruto had the urge to face palm but did not, "Yumi-chan your young so there will be a lot of things that you don't know, once you grow up you'll know a lot more maybe even more then me"
At first Yumi was hesitant to accept the answer but none the less had to, the rest of the trip went by quiet but with occasional conversation
The father and daughter walked out of the village and towards the house, after nearly 15 minutes of walking the duo made it to the house

To say that Boruto was impressed was an understatement, Boruto's mouth was slightly open with amazement making Yumi giggle
Letting go of her fathers hand Yumi and ran up the stairs and knocked on the door and yelled "obaa-chan!!"
Five seconds later the door swag open and Yumi was in Hinata's arms in a hug, "Yumi-chan!! It's been so long since you last visited us!"
"I'm sorry, mama was away from the village and neither Sakura-baa-chan or Sasuke-ojii-chan wanted to bring me because they even missed me" Said Yumi
"It's ok sweetheart" Said Hinata putting Yumi down before saying "go in" and Yumi happily complied running into the house and calling for her aunt
"So Boruto, honey you just going to stay out or are you going to greet me and come inside?" Hinata said smiling her motherly smile
Boruto smiled back before walking up to her and wrapping his arms around his mother, wrapping her arms around her only son she cried "I missed you, I missed you so much sweetheart"
"I miss you too kaa-chan" whispered back Boruto
