Boruto : the future

The Summit

The sun once again rose over the village, slowly waking the sleeping wild like and giving a sign of life in the seemingly dead village
At the Uzumaki residence sat our beloved blond protagonist slowly combing his hand through his six year old daughters hair as she slept, she had woken up multiple times the previous night crying and repeatedly telling her father not to leave her
As the tears streamed down her face the fatherly urge with in him roared for the young boys blood for hurting her but he had it almost in control
"I swear if they boy comes back to you now that he's found out that your my daughter I will cut him down limb by limb" furiously mumbled Boruto out loud, though it was only a whisper Himawari who was standing at the door hear it and could not help but say, "I wish I knew how it feels..." sadly
Boruto with out taking his eyes off Yumi Asked, "how long have you been standing there?" To which Hima Replied "I just came and I only hear the part about you dismembering Saiba-kun limb from limb"
Boruto nodded and said "right." And the silence once again began until Hima broke it, "how does it feel?"
"How does what feel?" Asked Boruto
"Having a child, loving her, her coming to you for comfort and protection, making you the centre of her universe?" Nearly chocked out Hima
At that moment remember the time he threatened the Lee's, and the memory of Himawari's pregnancy came to him and from the way she spoke she had either aborted the pregnancy or she lost the baby at some point of the pregnancy and knowing her and his parents it had to be the latter,  a feeling of grieve ran through his body
Boruto kissed Yumi's forehead before he got to his feet and walked over to Hima, He opened his arms and just like when they were kids Himawari ran into the arms that had protected her and made her feel safe so many times in the past
Boruto rubbed her back and whispered soothing words in her ear, she had hidden the pain of loosing her child under the constant smile on her face when in the inside this fact was slowly eating away at her
"Let it all out Hima-chan, let it all out" whispered Boruto
As if complying Himawari's sobs increased and the rate in which the tears flowed almost doubled, "she was so beautiful, she had the most beautiful big blue eyes I ever saw and with the few strands of violet hair on her tiny little head it was clear that she was my baby" half chocked half cried out Hima
"Then what happen to her?" Softly Asked Boruto
"One late night she had woken up and began crying, I comforted her and feed her before she fell a sleep, I noticed the room was a little stuffy and I didn't want my little angel to be uncomfortable so I opened the window...Some missing nin had gotten into the room and placed a explosive tag on her crib and chest...and...and..." she could not continue but it did not take a genius to figure out what happen, her grip on Boruto's shirt tightened, her sobs had gone hysteric and Boruto was emitting a small KI barely noticeable, he was begging which ever god was listening that the chakra from the rag had killed her and not an explosion
"I woke up to the explosion and to the impact of an object landing on my lap, that object was my baby girls head" said the young devastated mother trying to bury her face as deep in her brothers chest as possible, hearing this the blond pulled her sister as close to him as possible and the floorboards under him cracked, the rooms temperature began dropping
"Did you find the missing nin?" Asked Boruto his voice cold yet felt warm to her
To which Hima shook her head, "papa said that the missing nin was a female, one from konoha for unknown reasons defected straight after the incident"
"I'm sorry, I'll ask tou-san to give me her profile so that I could find her and bring her so you can have your revenge, ok? So please don't cry" whispered Boruto hugging her a little harder
Hima slowly stopped sobbing and crying until she was only down to hiccups and Boruto held her the whole time before letting her go once she stopped
"Thank you for giving your shoulder to cry on Onii-chan, it helped a lot" Said Himawari before walking to the door when she heard Boruto said "it feels amazing"
"What?" Asked Hima, "you asked me how being a parent feels, it feels amazing" Replied Boruto
Himawari smiled and replied, "maybe one day I'll also feel like that" before walking out the room

Shinobi from all over the great nations were walking in the village hidden in the leaves making reservation for their respective Kages to stay in and securing the room and such as safety pre cautions
The Five Kage summit was held in the disguise of the kage's planning for the future and selecting worthy candidates to take the position from the current kages
And this was planned to be held underground where most previous Kage summits where delicate information was discussed in were held and the time was at noon
Due to the delicacy of the information multiple pre cautions were in place, the entrance of the underground venue was guarded by Naruto's most trusted ANBU and farther in multiple multilayered genjutsu were placed and need the door into the underground chamber the personal body guards of the five Kage

In an U shaped table sat the shinobi worlds strongest shinobi along with their advisors
The huge doors opened one last time and towards the table walked alone figure in black
The five Kage and their advisors minus Naruto and Shikamaru and Sasuke turned their gaze only for it to widen with shock, walking towards them was the man the shinobi world had rumoured to be dead nearly 2 years ago
"Boruto-San, it's good to see that you are alive and the rumours were false" Said the rock shadow to which Boruto looked towards her and nodded
"Since everyone is now present shall we begin?" Asked Gaara
Naruto nodded and began, "first off all I would like to thank you all for dropping what ever that was going on with in your respective villages and coming to this summit"
"Well we couldn't ignore the summoning when the scroll that was delivered to us stated that the information that you wished to discuss required Kage level clearance" spoke the white headed lighting shadow
"This summit was not called by me. As you can see my son has arrived from his mission with rather distressing news" spoke Naruto
"And what would that news be?" Asked Chojuro
Just before Naruto could reply Boruto did, "I won't drag this on and beat around the bush, the five great nations is at war" in his voice not a shred of it being a joke

Sarada was in her room changing her cloths after her shower
She put on her underwear and moved towards the mirror, looking at the mirror she noticed that she had gotten alittle thinner then she was two years ago, there were were cuts on her forearm from the previous night
She was not proud of them but some point the previous night her subconscious had cut while she cried about losing her beloved blond
The pain from hearing that Boruto died made her slightly anorexia causing her to grow thinner, her eyes were red from all the crying the previous night and cuts were present on her arm
Then a voice in her head spoke, "well there's no use in not eating anymore, Boruto-kun is alive and in the village we'll just have to earn his trust and live back"
She could not help but agree with that voice in her head, she took a dark blue long sleeve t-shirt from her closet along with a light grey pair of pants before pulling her hair into a pony tail on the top of her head
She looked her self in the mirror one last time before nodding at her self and leaving the room to go down to the dinning room to have her breakfast
Entering the kitchen Sarada saw her mother making an omelet
"Mama I thought you went to the Kage summit since you have Kage level clearance" Said Sarada
Sakura turned to her daughter and said "morning, I would have loved to go but I didn't get an invitation asking to attend and Sasuke-kun told me that they will be discussing some information about the Otsutsuki clan that Boruto-kun found and he said the news won't be too big but Naruto thinks the other Kage should know"
Sarada did not like being lied to so she frowned and said, "mama you don't have to lie, I know Boruto-kun is the other shinobi with Kage level clearance"
Sakura crowed and wiped her hands in a towel near by before walking up to her and giving her a hug, "I'm sorry sweetie...I have no idea what's going on in that meeting"
"It's ok mama, I'm sure Boruto-kun will forgive me then I'll do everything I can to make it up to him, what ever it is.." whispered Sarada

The room was silent, "excuse me, can you please repeat that because I heard the peace we shed blood and sweat for was under danger!" Yelled Kurotsuchi
"Unfortunately lady Kurotsuchi you heard right" Replied Boruto
"By whom?" Asked Darui
"The Otsutsuki clan" Replied Boruto,hearing this everyone in the room tensed, they were barely able to keep up with momoshiki so an entire clan of clans men of momoshiki's level may just be the end of them
Just as Chojuro was about to ask something Boruto spoke, "right now in the drawers that belong to the respective Kage is a handwritten report of my mission or atleast the more important parts of it"
All the five kages nodded and opened their drawers next to them, the kages began reading and their advisors read from behind them, the room was silent for a few minutes
"We have less then three months to prepare for a war against an enemy we have nearly no information about other then their powers are more or less equivalent to a god and we have no idea of their numbers" Said Gaara
The other kage's were nodded and were thinking battle strategies and the amount of casualties his could lead to, their focus was shifted by a sigh from Boruto, he looked up at the light on the ceiling and said, "there is a way for this to be resolved with out violence of blood shed"
"We are not giving them the shinobi world" Said Naruto
"I wasn't suggesting that, the Otsutsuki clan is a clan of royalties, and what do two empires do when they want peace between their nations?" Questioned Boruto
The room was silent for a second before Sasuke's eyes widened slightly and said "marriage." To which Boruto nodded his head
"The Otsutsuki head has a daughter my age, a marriage between the daughter of the Otsutsuki clan head and the strongest of the shinobi world will guarantee that our peace continues" spoke Boruto
At this point the eyes of the five Kage and their advisor's were widened, "as your Kage I'm not giving up one of my strongest shinobi and as your father I'm not letting you to give up your happiness for the shinobi world" spoke the blond Kage
Hearing this Boruto smiled before he turned side way and shoved his hands in his pocket and said, "we have to think of the future, the kings, a sacrifice I make today may guarantee us a future and the moment I put on this head band I became a tool for this village, I became expandable"
The truth of his worlds saddened all who were present, "Naruto as much as I hate to admit your Son is right, your son has a point and a way for us to guarantee and future for our children and grandchildren" spoke Gaara his voice low and quiet
Naruto with his eyes shadowed by his hair quietly spoke, "Everyone who agrees with this idea say 'aye'"
And chorus of four soft 'aye's were heard from with in the room, "as the five kage's have decided, Boruto Uzumaki, you will be married to the daughter of the Otsutsuki head in three months time" spoke Naruto, he was trying his best to prevent his voice from cracking
Boruto nodded, "if there is no other matter to discuss then this meeting is dismissed" Said Darui
The meeting was dismissed but no one moved from their seats, "Boruto-kun is there no other peaceful solution other then you marrying the daughter of the clan head?" Asked Gaara
"Unfortunately there isn't" Said Boruto
"If you distancing yourself from her crushed Sarada then I'm almost afraid to see what happened when she finds out the news of you marrying the Otsutsuki clan head's daughter" Said Sasuke
"That is why I don't plan on her finding out until that day we go to meet the Otsutsuki clan" Said Boruto
"So your going to spend time with her?" Asked Kurotsuchi
"No I'm going to spent the time distancing my self from her, I don't want to lead her on and give her hope" Said Boruto
"Then what about Yumi-chan?" Asked Naruto
"I'm going to give her the choice to come with me or stay with Sarada" Said Boruto
With that the kage's got up and slowly left the room and went to the surface

Boruto, Naruto, Shikamaru, Sasuke came out of the underground meeting room last
Each of them slightly winced when the bright sunlight hit their eyes, "I have some paper work to do back at the office, but tell your mom to keep a seat at the table tonight as I will be coming home for dinner" Asked Naruto
Boruto nodded and said, "and guys not a word to the general public or anyone who does not need to know"
The group nodded and separated before going their own ways

Boruto arrived at the Uzumaki residence and said, "I'm back" from around the corner popped out a head, "welcome home papa!" Said yumi with her usual bubbly voice and smile
Taking off his sandals Boruto went to his room and called Yumi, the light sound of foot steps were heard before Yumi ran into the room, "what's wrong papa?"
"Sweetie can you close the door and come here?" Requested Boruto to which Yumi complied
She closed the door and walked over to her papa and sat on his lap, "what's wrong papa?"
"Sweetie, if papa loves another girl and papa marries her will you call her your mama and love her just you love me?"
"Why? Don't you love mama? Didn't you say you want to be with mama?" Said Yumi
"Yumi-chan I don't think you will understand right now but I can't marry mama, I have to marry another girl so no one can get hurt" explained Boruto
Yumi was silent, her young mind could not understand the complexity of the situation, but the question her papa asked her she understood, would she go with her papa and have anew mama or would she stay with her mama and have a new papa
"Papa, what would happen if I don't want a new mama?" Asked yumi
"Well sweetheart nothing will happen, I won't be able to see you as often or none at all and you will be with your mama or your grandparents" Said Boruto kissing the crown of her head
She was slightly conflicted, she didn't know what to do, the silence between them was stretching on until Boruto sighed and said "I'm sorry Yumi-chan for putting so much pressure on you, you can tell me if you want to stay with your mama or come with me later"
Just then Yumi softly said, "I want to come with you, because papa saved me from those bad men, and because papa was always there when I cried, I love you papa!" Before hugging him
Boruto hugged back and said "I love you too"
Yumi let go of the hug and kissed Boruto's cheek and ran out the door, Boruto just smiled and shook his head at his adopted daughter's cuteness

The sun had set and at the Uzumaki residence the table was set for dinner and everyone was in their seats, in front of them was bowl of ramen, the flavour and amount varied from person to person
The usually happy and cheerful head of the family sat at the head of the table quiet then he ever was causing the entire table to be quiet, the only sound was the sound of noddles slurping
Hinata worrying spoke, "Naruto-kun is something wrong?"
Naruto did not reply and just looked at Boruto sadly, Boruto sighed and spoke, "guys I wanted to tell you guys on a later date but it seem the situation calls for me to tell you now..."
Boruto put the bowl and utensil down before crossing his arms and closing his eyes, "I will not be here after three months, the situation call for me to marry a girl to prevent a war from breaking out and I have to leave the village with her so I might not see you guys as much anymore or at all" explained Boruto
The table was silent before Hinata broke it with, "WHAT! Your marrying some girl you don't even know!"
"Kaa-chan I don't like this idea as much as the next guy but it's the only way the peace can be maintained with out any violence, we have to think about the future, the kings" Said Boruto
"Onii-chan does Sarada-chan know about this?" Asked Himawari and Boruto shook his head as a no
The reason why her papa wanted her to come with him finally made sense to Yumi, and she was so happy he asked her to come with him
"Sweetie is there no other option, maybe an orphan can your place" Suggested Hinata
"Doing that will be like insulting them, this could anger them taking any any mercy they might have" softly said Naruto, his head still down
Tears were streaming down Hinata's face, "I finally got you back after two painful years, I'm not letting you go again!"
"Kaa-chan..." softly Said Boruto before he got up and walked over to her before wrapping his arms around her and rubbing her back and soon the entire family was crying and had joined in the group hug
