Boruto : the future

How they met...(Part 2)

As Boruto began walking away Delta followed him having thoughts along the lines of "Maybe I'll follow him until we get to a village and where I can begin a civilian life"
Boruto walked towards the stream and made three clones, he sent one to catch some fish, the second one to look for some edible green the third to be a lookout before he, the original, walked over to a tree and sad down in the shade leaning against the tree
Delta watched as the clones went out to do their task and the original go under a tree, Delta took off her cloak along with her thigh high shoes and rolled up her sleeves up to her elbows before stepping into the cold water and trying to catch some fish
Boruto hearing splashes in the water turned his head to see what was going on and saw Delta trying to catch fish, Boruto turned his head toward the direction the water flowed and was lost in thought until he heard a much louder splash, Boruto fist looked at his clone thinking he caught a fish and saw his clone with his hands still in the water but his head looking towards Delta's direction
Boruto followed his clones gaze and saw a wet Delta sitting in the shallow water who blow a strand on hair from her face
Boruto let an amused grin appear on his face before it disappeared and his usual blank face once again appeared
Boruto the second clone came back to the the original a moment later carrying some edible mushrooms and non poisoness plants roots along with some herbs in his make shift basket the clone made with his cloak, the clone dropped the cloak filled with mushrooms and roots near the original before moving a little closer to the stream and making a fire pit before standing up and looking around to find some twigs and dried wood to make a fire
The clone that was catching fish came ashore with three fish before kneeling down near the stream to gut and clean the fish
Delta who had come ashore and twisted the corners of her top to get the water out watched as the clones did their work while Boruto just sat there
Delta walked over to one of the trees providing shade a few trees left of Boruto's, the trees and sat down under it just watching the clones do their work

It was late morning when the clones had finished making a soup of sorts from the ingredients that they had gathers, Boruto had dismissed the clones and stood in front of the put slowly stirring it and tasting it on occasion
Once the soup was ready Boruto unsealed a bowl from a scroll before using the ladle to pour some soup into the bowl Boruto then began eating, the aroma of the soup reached Delta and even though it was not the best soup aroma she had smelled not having eaten in two days and being in a fight had taken its toll on her causing her stomach to grumble in hunger however she could not go and ask him for food her pride would not allow it so she just put her head down and tried to preserve as much energy as possible
Boruto who was sitting a little far away from her had heard the women's stomach grumble could not help but sigh before putting his bowl down, he unsealed a second bowl and poured some soup before standing up and walked over to the women and put the bowl down in front of her before walking back to his bowl
Delta who had looked up the moment she heard foot steps looked confused when he kept the bowl in front of her and left slowly took the bowl and began drinking it, it lacked some seasoning but other wise it was alright
She had finished the bowl however her hunger was still not satisfied so swallowing her pride she walked over next to Boruto and sat down before she looked away before whispering, "Can I have some more?"
Boruto who looked at her with his blank face just took her bowl and poured some soup into her bowl before doing the same thing to his won bowl, and both sat in silence and ate

After finishing their meal Boruto took the now empty pot to the stream to washed it then sealed it away, Boruto checked for all his scrolls before he began walking towards the nearest town, Delta began following his not far behind
Boruto kept walking instead of tree hopping because he knew Delta was following him and in her weakened state she can't tree hop so being curious of what she was after by following him Boruto continued walking  and by the time he had arrived in town it was mid evening, after he entered the town he felt Delta's small chakra signature moving away from him so Boruto walked into a modest looking Inn and booked a room for the night
After dropping his things in his room Boruto walked out into the streets, as he was walking around Boruto walked into a park,
Looking around he saw different people of different ages, the one that caught Boruto's eye was a man with black hair sitting next to his brunette wife on a picnic blanket watching a four year old boy chase after his dog
The little family looked so happy, "that could have been us" thought Boruto as the thought he had buried deep surfaced
Boruto turned around and began walking away from the family, he kept walking until he heard fighting in a bar
Shaking his head in amusement Boruto entered the establishment and saw an all out brawl, the funniest part was that the bartender just stood there drying a newly washed glass, walking up the the bartender Boruto sat down on a stool before he can place an order the bartender spoke, "it never gets boring around here with these ruffians"
"I can tell" replied Boruto with a grin, "so what can I get you?" Asked the man
"Give me some sake, from the hidden cloud village if you have any" replied Boruto and the man nodded and pulled out a bottle from under the table and poured some on a saucer
Boruto took the Saucer and drank the alcohol in one go and enjoyed the feeling of it burning his throat, pouring another saucer Boruto turned towards the fight and looked on to see who was winning and nearly spit out his sake when he saw two of the men who were fighting just a moment ago now in a corner makeing out
Seeing Boruto's face the bartender followed his gaze and burst out laughing when he saw the two men in the corner, "that's the beauty of these brawls, out of the mayhem every once in a while love is born" said the bartender getting his laughter under control
Having nothing worth saying Boruto picked up the sake bottle and drowned it on one go before slapping a few ryo on the table and existing the bar and walking towards his hotel

Entering his room Boruto turned on the lights, on his bed he saw a passed out Delta, seeing this Boruto had an urge to push Delta off his bed and a thought that went along the lines of "I give her one damn meal and now she thinks she can sleep in my bed" before he took one of the pillows from the bed and laid down on the floor
Just as his eyes were closing and sleep was about to take over one last thought came to mind, "how the hell did that women get in here?"
The door wasn't meddled with he looked towards the window and didn't see broken glass, "I have a bad feeling about this" went through his mind as he laid back down

Morning finally came and the sun started getting in Boruto's eye, he woke up with a mild headache
He looked towards the bed and saw Delta stretching, she saw his awake and asked, "why are you on the floor?" causing a tick mark to form on Boruto's forehead
Boruto got up from the floor and threw the pillow on to the bed before grabbing his cloak and anything else that he had left before reverse summoning him self to the cave of the snakes once he set foot on the cold moist air a smirk formed on his face
While on the other side Delta just stared at the spot Boruto previously stood before what this ment finally caught up to her, if she still had her powers she would not give a damn and just fly out but unfortunately the man who just left her here had sealed her powers so she couldn't do that so she had to either find a way to make a quick buck and she knew only one way a women can make money fast and there was no way she was lowering her self to that level, "sneaking out it is" said Delta to herself before she grabbed her thinks and ran out of the room

Boruto walked over to one to the rooms and freshened up before going to see the aging snake, just as he entered her chamber the old snake opened her eyes and spoke, "ahh child excellent timing I was just about to summon you"
"So have you looked over it?" Asked the blond as a response
The elderly snake nodded and said yes before beginning to discuss with the blond
