Boruto : the future

Yumi, what do I do with u?

Sarada and company were near the border of the land of fire and water when they felt a huge chakra spike
"What was that?!" Said Sarada
After a moment Sasuke replied "that would be Boruto, I recognise his chakra"
"Then y r we wasting time let's go" Said Sarada running toward where they felt the chakra spike
After about half an hour of running where came upon a clearing of bodies, some split in half others either headless or the upper part and the torso on two side everyone other than Sasuke was shocked
"Who would kill so brutally?" Said hinata and the rest of the girls nodded in agreement
"Judging from how this place look I can confidently say this is Boruto's work" Said sasuke
"My baby boy/onee-san did this?!" Yelled hinata and himawari in unison
"Yes, he did this" Said sasuke
Sarada looked around the clearing and saw Boruto resting under a tree with a girl barely four on his chest
"There's onee-san!" Yelled himawari pointing at the figure resting under tree
Everyone looked at where himawari was pointing and began walking over to him

Boruto has his back against a tree  and yumi on his chest and was half asleep when he felt five chakra signatures enter the clearing he almost instantly recognised all five of the chakra signatures and when he did he smiled
Boruto kept his eyes closed and listened to the the convo his family was having
After a couple of minutes they began walking towards him
They were in front of him when Boruto opened his eyes and said "hey hime" and greeted everyone
Boruto saw Sarada tear up so he said "don't cry"
Sarada nodded and wiped the tear
"Who's the kid?" Asked Sasuke
To this yumi began squirming  and opened her eyes and saw all the people surrounding her and panicked and yelled "no! No one is taking papa from me!" And hugged Boruto
"Papa?" Asked hinata
Boruto sighed and said "long story short I saved yumi here from the nuke ninja that r currently littered in the clearing and it seems she's a orphan and she wanted me to adopt her"
After everyone understood they all had a oh face
Sarada got down to Yumis height and said "well yumi I'm sarada uchiha, ur mama"
Yumi turned to Boruto for confirmation and Boruto nodded
Yumi turned to Sarada and jumped on her and hugged her and yelled "yay! I have a mama now!"
Sarada was shocked at first but recovered in record time and hugged her back and everyone 'aww'ed at this
After yumi let go of Sarada, yumi pointed at hinata and asked her "who r u?" And hinata giggles and said "I'm ur oba-chan, and this is ur oba" gesturing to hima
"Oh ok.." then yumi turns to Sasuke and Sakura and says "then u must also be my oba-chan and u must b my oji-san"
Sasuke and Sakura smiled at yumi and Sakura said "yes we are sweetheart"
Boruto and Sarada were watching yumi talk to her grandparents and aunt, Sarada sat down next to Boruto and put her head on his shoulder making Boruto put his arms around saradas waist and Sarada moved her head from Borutos shoulder to his chest and closed her eyes
"We have a child now but we aren't even married" Said Sarada to Boruto with a hint of sadness clear in her voice
"Sarada, she won't be with us for long.." Said Boruto closing his eyes
"What do u mean?" Asked Sarada alittle shocked
"When yumi fell asleep I checked her chakra network and what I found out was that her chakra is highly unstable and it is eating away her body" Said Boruto reopening his eyes and look at yumi
"How long do u think she will survive?" Said Sarada following Borutos gaze to yumi
"At the rate it is eating away on her right now she might close her eyes tonight and never open them again" Said Boruto
"That's all is it?" Asked Sarada
"Unfortunately it isn't, the instability will combust.." and before Boruto could finished Sarada continued with "she'll burn from the inside out..."
"Yes" was all Boruto could manage out
Sarada looked up at Boruto and saw the sadness in his eyes as he looked at yumi
"Don't worry, if she passes away then it's good for her she'll be in a better place" Said Sarada kissing Boruto
Boruto kissed back and looks at Sarada and smiles and she smiled back
Sarada and Boruto let go on each other and Sarada got up and walked over to yumi, the 4 year old turned around to see her mama walking over to her and pick her up and hugg her
"Mama what's wrong?" Asked yumi
Sarada pulled away and said "y is it wrong for me to hugg my little girl?"
Yumi giggles and said "of course it isn't" and hugged her mama which she returned "mama?" Asked yumi
"Yes yumi?" Said Sarada
"I love u!" Said yumi tightening her hugg
"I love u too" replied Sarada
Yumi and Sarada let go of each other's embrace, yumi looked at her papa and ran to him and hugged him and said "and I love u too papa" after a moment Boruto wrapped his arms around his 4 year old adopted daughters waist and said "I love u too yumi" and after a moment Boruto let go of his daughter and stood up
"So where r we heading?" Asked Sasuke
"To the land of whirlpool, I'm gonna get a reapers mask" Replied Boruto
"For what do u need a reapers mask?" Asked Sarada
"I met orochimaru and I asked him if there was a way to bring father back and he said he can strike a deal with the Shikigami but I'll need to get a reapers mask" explained Boruto
"What's in it for him?" Asked Sakura
"I asked him that and he said he wants nothing in return and he was doing this as a thank u for saving the ninja world" Said Boruto with amusement clear in his face
"That's awfully nice of him" Said hinata
"Yea if it work dad will be back again" Said himawari excited
Then Sakuras and hinatas stomach simultaneously growled
"Looks like everyone is hungry, let's head into a town and have something to eat" Said sasuke
Everyone nodded and began walking

After walking for nearly one and half hours they got to a modern town fairly close to the  border of the land of water
They went to a dango stand and had some dango and green tea
Boruto and Corp decided to stay the night in the town so they booked a hotel and began to walk around and explore the town
Not long after night came and everyone was in Sasukes and Sakura room talking
Yumi went to bed daily early since she said she was not feeling good so Sarada tucked her in and gave her a goodnight kiss while Boruto stood at the bedroom door and once Sarada was done Boruto turned off the light and closed the door and went to Sasuke and sakuras  room
Boruto sat down on the floor and Sarada sat down on Borutos lap and lean on his chest which made Boruto wrap his arms around saradas waist and pulling her closer to his body
Everyone sat in silence until Sasuke broke it by saying "Boruto spill it.."
Boruto sighed and began "she's a orphan who doesn't know who her real father is and her mother was murdered by nuke ninja"
"Onee-san, did u see yumis chakra network?" Asked hima
"Yes I did, and i know that it's unstable" Said Boruto
"Then Boruto dear u know that that means.." Said hinata
"I know mom, yumi doesn't have long to live, tonight might just be her last night" Said Boruto
Everyone set in silence knowing that a member of their family was going to die in the following days
No one dared to break the silence until Sakura in a very low voice said "y does a girl so young have to die? She's barely 4, she has gone through so much now she's happy and she has to die and leave that happiness" and let a stray tear down her face
"I know, she has gone through so much, so much pain, so much suffering but she still smiles like as if the world is only sunshine and rainbows" Said Boruto lowing his head into saradas shoulder and let a few warm tears touch her shoulder making her turn to him and hug him
Everyone sat in the embrace of their loved one either crying or comforting the one that are shedding the tears
Sasuke looked at the clock in the room and said "it's getting late, everyone should get some rest"
Boruto dried his tears and looked at everyone, everyone had a look of sadness on their face and the effect of tiredness was taking its effect
"Sensei is right, let's get some rest" Boruto Said and everyone nodded in agreement

After bidding everyone good night Boruto and Sarada came back to the room to be met with a blue light Sarada got behind Boruto and began walking toward the light and around the corner and what they saw was a horrifying sight
The sight of their adopted daughter in a blue flame which left no mark or residue
Yumi was awake and twisting and turning to put out the flames and her mouth was open but no sound came out
Both Boruto and Sarada were frozen in place
