Boruto : the future

Trying to keep a sinking ship afloat... Part 2

Sarada woke up the next morning and felt the surface was softer then when she fell asleep, she opens her eyes and saw that she was in bed she turned her head hoping Boruto would be there next to her but unfortunately he wasn't, Sarada sat up on the bed on her bed and saw the closet was still empty and the open bathroom did not have any signs that it had been used
She got up and went down stairs and checked the living room, the kitchen and the backyard but there was no sign of Boruto
Scenarios started playing in her head that sent fear through out her body
"Pls tell me he didn't leave me and yumi" thought Sarada
Then Sarada saw that Borutos sword was missing along with his shirikens "did he really leave us? No, maybe he wanted sometime to think and decided to do some low rank mission and left early" Sarada's thought were interrupted by the sound of soft footsteps originating from the stairs, Sarada looked art the stairs and saw yumi climbing down the stairs with the help of the railings, once she was down she ran to Sarada and said "morning mama!"
Yumi then looked around and a look of worry started going through her and she held her hands to her chest, "what's wrong sweetie?" Asked Sarada, "Where is Papa? Did he leave us mama?" Cried yumi, Sarada walked over to her daughter and hugged her before saying "He didn't leave us sweetheart, He's most likely at a training ground or in the village" trying to reassure yumi and secretly her self

Boruto in the early morning had stopped to rest, and was sitting under a tree drinking some water from a stream he had passed earlier, "she's most probably still asleep" thought Boruto
Borutos thoughts were interrupted when some rouge ninja jumped down the tree and surrounded him
Boruto sighed getting up, "You idiots could not find anyone better to fight this early in the morning?" Rhetorical Asked Boruto 
Boruto got his answer when one of the ninjas jumped at him, Boruto swiped his legs from under him making the man fall straight on his face this made Boruto sweat drop
"If he is your best you might as well give up" Said Boruto, but his words fell of deaf ears as they all jumped at him
Boruto side stepped the first nin and kicked him in the back and let momentum carry him into a tree, the next nin appeared in front of Boruto and tried to punch him but Boruto caught his fist and threw him over his shoulder, just as Boruto threw him a water dragon was heading towards him, without any hand signs Borutos coated his hands in purple lightning as soon as the Jutsu was stable Boruto jumped towards the dragon and strikes it electrocuting the dragon and hopefully the ninja who did the Jutsu but unfortunately this did not happen
Boruto landed and and four men came at him from the bushes, Boruto was getting annoyed at the rouges but he didn't feel like ending their miserable lives, Boruto sped of towards them and punched the first man in the face sending him flying into the forest, this caused a momentary distraction that Boruto was going to utilise, Boruto appeared in between two of the men and rasenganed both of them sending into the bushes near by the last and final man was standing in front of him, the man was shaking, the mans frame was small, and he was wearing a hood that covered his face and hair that is when Boruto realised that the he in front of him is actually a she, with that the abnormally large abdomen that the she had made sense
"You can uncover your self now, I know your a girl and that your with a child" Said Boruto with a sigh
The figure in front of him uncovered her hood and a girl most likely in her teen year stood in front of him, Boruto did not really care about the girl and just walked past her and into the forest towards the crash site

Boruto stood over the edge of the pit that was caused by the crash, he activated his joûgan and looked at the ship and saw a dark chakra pulsing from the mid section of the air craft
Deactivating his joûgan, Boruto slid down the crater and as he approached the ship his body felt heavier and heavier
By the time he reached the hole in to the ship his body felt like as if he had fought Kawaki all over again
He looked inside and saw a metal black box glowing red, Boruto not wanting to risk taking any chances made a clone to check out what was going on with the box, as soon as the clone touched the box it electrocuted it
Receiving the memories from the clones Boruto thought out loud "wow, that's a lot of electricity produced by such as small box"
Boruto thought of a way to destroy the box, "what if I try to over power it? Then I'll have to create a lot more electricity then this thing...will Kirin work? Might but let's first go with purple lighting..." thought Boruto and summoned a clone which did purple lightning and attacked the box but the attack looked like it did some damage but nothing significant
"Kirin it is" Said Boruto and walked outside, once out side and a safe distance away from the ship he began concentrating, black storm clouds started forming in the sky, thunder roared and a dragon made of lightning formed behind Boruto, Boruto rose his hand to the sky and brought it down towards the ship showing the dragon that that was its target, the dragon then roared and disappeared up into the cloud, a roar much louder was heard and the lightning in the clouds started changing colour from light blue to a much more darker blue and with a ear shattering roar a dragon much larger then the initial came down at the ship
The after math of the Jutsu was devastating, the entire ship was destroyed and the black had stopped emitting the strange chakra and was laying on the ground with cracks all over it and broken
"Seems like my job here is done, better hea..." Boruto could not finish his thought before he heard a scream from with in the forest
Boruto sighed and leaped into the trees and started heading towards the direction of the scream

Back in the village Sarada along with yumi were walking through the village and towards the Hokage mansion
The mother and daughter arrived at the office and knocked on the door and not soon after a "come in" was heard, opening the door Sarada and yumi walked into the office and closed the door
Naruto stopped his work and gave the mother and daughter in front of him his full attention, "Sarada-chan, yumi-chan, what can I do for you?" Asked Naruto
"Oji-chan, Do you know where papa is?" Asked yumi
Naruto nodded and replied "I do, he's on a mission he'll most likely be back soon"
"Ok..." responded yumi glad that her papa did not leave her
"Well that's all we'll be going" Said Sarada who was also a little glad that Boruto was just on a mission but before she could open the door Naruto spoke "if you don't mind I would like to speak to you Sarada in private"
Sarada turned and nodded, a clone piped up next to Naruto and walked over to yumi and said "let's go yumi-chan, I'll take you to get ramen" held out his hand so yumi can take it and they both walked out of the room
Once they left Naruto began speaking, "Sarada-chan is something going on between you and Boruto?"
When Naruto Asked this Sarada slightly flinched and this did not go unnoticed by Naruto
Sarada looked down and said "me and him are currently having a fight"
"What happen? Did he do something?" Asked Naruto
"Well he heard me sarcastically reply to hanabi-san that I was marrying him because people want me to and I was going to divorce him later on and from the way he heard it he couldn't notice the sarcasm and he thought it was my truthful reply...and then later I tried to talk to him and fix things between us he didn't even try to fix anything between us" Replied Sarada
Naruto nodded in understanding, and said "I hope you both get back together" and Sarada nodded before silently saying "I hope so too" and left the room

Boruto landed in a clearing where a man was on the ground bloodied and surrounded by bandits
Boruto not wanting to spent too much time and risking the man being killed decided to kill all the bandits as before anything could happen
Unsheathing his sword Boruto sped off towards the closest two bandits and before they even realised it their torsos were separated from their legs, coating his hand in lighting and his sword in wind Boruto drove his hand and sword into the heart of one bandit and through the skull of another, speeding off towards the last and final bandit Boruto made a rasengan and stuck it in the stomach of the man and sent him flying into a large tree where a branch impaled him in the chest
Boruto walked over to the merchant and helped him sit up against a tree
The man was likely in his late forties, with most of his black hair gone white and few wrinkles on his face wearing a plain velvet long sleeved shirt under a white t-shirt and black pants with sandals
"Thank you for saving me young man" Said the old merchant
"Your welcome mister, where are you heading?" Asked Boruto
"Oh just a village close to visit my family" Replied the man
Boruto nodded and asked "let's get those wounds and bruises treated" reaching into his punch and pulling out his first aid scroll
As he was cleaning the mans wounds he noticed a large gash on the mans shoulder that would sting like hell when cleaning so Boruto strikes a conversation to distract him "so why are you travelling alone? Did your partner not want to accompany you?" Asked Boruto as he slowly applied the gash
"Hehe I don't have a wife.." Said the man looking at his feet
"Oh I'm sorry to bring up a bad topic, I've heard that talking about it helps" Replied Boruto
"No it's quite all right, I loved a women, she was perfect, but then I heard a rumour that she had slept with some one...I believe the rumour and confronted her...she told me that the only man she had ever slept with was me but I still did not believe her...I told her i needed some time to think...later I forgave her and came back to tell her that but it was too late...she had taken her own life in grief thinking I wouldn't come back to her, learn from my mistakes child if you find love don't believe anything that that you hear and people say they saw...but confronting her about it won't hurt but believe if you see disloyalty with your own eyes..." spoke the man
"I'll make sure I learn from your past" said Boruto finishing up bandaging his wounds, "you need help getting to the village?" Asked Boruto
The man shook his head and said "it's not that far and you should be getting back to your home as well"
Boruto nodded before saying "I hope you get to your village soon with out any problems" and jumped into the trees and sped of towards Konoha

The sun was setting and after going shopping for food Sarada came back home and after putting all the things in the kitchen she walked into the living room and saw yumi on Naruto's clone's lap asleep
The clone noticed Sarada and smiled before slowly taking his lap from under the little girls head and once again gently placing it back on the soft sofa
Once the delicate procedure was complete the clone stood up and disappeared, Sarada  walked over to the sofa and laid down next to yumi and pulled her closer to her body as soon as she pulled her closer yumi turned towards her mother, Sarada put some strains of hair that was on her face behind her ear and softly said "I'll make sure that your father loves you with all of his heart even if he doesn't love me" before kissing yumi's for head and trying to sleep as well

On the other side of the village, Boruto was walking through the village towards the Hokage's mansion
Boruto arrived at the office and was about to open the door but decided not to when he heard moans from the inside, knocking on the door and sound of shuffling could be heard from the inside
A brief moment later a response could be heard, Boruto opened the door and said "I could come back later if I'm interrupting something" with a smirk
A small tick mark could be seen on Naruto's forehead but he replied "your not interrupting anything"
Boruto entered the room and closed the door and saw his mother behind his father and the sweat on both their foreheads were a indicator that a heated moment was happening in the room
"How did the mission go?" Asked Naruto, "the mission was successful as the source of the disturbance was a black box, along the way their and back I had fought few low rank shinobi and bandits the latter time having to save a Middle Ages man" reported Boruto
Naruto nodded and said "very well, I expect a written report on my desk by tomorrow night"
Boruto nodded and saw about to leave when he heard his mother speak, "Boruto, sweetie what is going on between you and Sarada-chan?"
Boruto tensed at the question, there was a silence before Boruto Replied "we are having a fight...she is upset because when she tried to fix things between us I did not respond to her the way she wanted me to...I'm gonna go home and talk to her and try to fix things between us"
Hinata walked over to Boruto and kisses his forehead and said "please do...yumi and Sarada both need you", Boruto nodded and left the office

The sun had long since set and Boruto was in a restaurant having something to eat and thinking about what he was going to say to Sarada, his train of thoughts was interrupted by mitsuki
"Yo" Said mitsuki
Snapping out of his thought Boruto Replied, "Hey"
"I've heard you and Sarada broke up" responded mitsuki
"Where did you hear that?" Asked Boruto
"Oh just a rumour going around the village" answered mitsuki
"Don't believe everything you hear" Replied Boruto
"Well if you ever do break up, mind if I take her?" Asked mitsuki
"In your dreams pal, me and her are together and I don't plan on letting her go anytime soon" responded Boruto
"Good, if your answer was anything but I would have gone sage mode on you" Said Mitsuki with a smile
Boruto rolled his eyes and said "if that's all I'm gonna pay the bill and go home" before standing up
Mitsuki nodded and left
Boruto after saying the bill left the restaurant, he looked both sides and sighed
He began his walk back home, he knew Sarada would not be happy and will most likely become violent but if she does he will not dodge or retaliate he will have the punches

Boruto was standing in front of the door, taking in a deep breath he opened the door
The entire house was dark, but he saw Sarada and yumi on the sofa in each other's arms
Boruto walked over to the chair and took off his cloak and sword and kept them on top of the chair, afterwards made a clone to pick Sarada up while he took yumi
Walking up the stairs followed by his clone Boruto walked into yumi's room while his clone took Sarada to their room
Boruto put yumi on the bed and tucked her in before kissing her forehead and walking out of the room and closing the door
He walked into his room and saw his clone putting Sarada under the cover, the clone after disappeared, Boruto took of his cloths and took a hot long shower as quietly as possible to not disturb Sarada
After his shower he put on some shorts and sat down on the chair in front of the bed, he was just stirring their looking at Sarada and thinking of how much he hurt her
Boruto got out of the chair and went down the stairs towards the kitchen, thought of something to eat but lost his appetite when he couldn't think of anything he could make him self, he walked out side to the yard which proved to be a mistake when the guilt of hurting Sarada started strangling his heart

The sun was rising, through the whole night Boruto could not distract his mind of his memory of hurting Sarada
The sun was rising and Boruto was in his bed room looking at the sun rise over the horizon, the suns light entering the room and Boruto who was standing in front of the window taking in the warmth from the early morning light got the full effect of the light
Feeling the warmth of the light Sarada stirred, she noticed the softness of the surface she was on and the fact that yumi who was in her arms when she fell asleep was no more, wondering how she got in bed she began to sit up when she heard "morning...", she looked forward and saw Boruto in some sweatpants and a simple t-shirt in front of the window looking at the sunrise, she was torn in two, half of her was happy he did not leave her or yumi and the other half was mad that he was back and acting as if nothing happen
Before Sarada could saw or do anything Boruto spoke "I know your mad...and it's pretty clear that me apologising won't make anything better...But for what's it worth, I'm sorry...I shouldn't have questions the love we had...I shouldn't have made that decision on something I heard...I still love you...but I don't think after the things I said and did you would want anything to do with me...all my belonging are still in the scroll as I never unpacked so I'll be leaving...the house I'll re-register it under your name so it's yours...and thanks for everything and goodbye" his back to her the whole time
Sarada was shocked: him apologising was all she wanted to hear, her brain still was not done fully processing everything he said, she looked down and clutches the cover
Boruto turned around with his hands in his pockets taking a final look at what he had and what he had lost and began walking as Sarada looked up when she heard foot steps and watched as Boruto walked out of the room and down the stairs
Boruto walked down the stairs, and opened the front door
As he was about to step out side he felt a hug from behind, "don't leave...don't leave me and yumi ever again...I don't hate you...I'm not done with you...I still love you, so much...and I want to be with you as much...so don't leave...I was mad but that anger has long since subdued and it has been replaced by that never ending love I have for you...yumi needs you...I need you...so please don't leave..." spoke Sarada as she silently cried
Boruto loosened Sarada's arms around him and turns around and hugged her before responding "I'm never leaving again, I promise"
Sarada tears still flowing let go of her hug and put them around Boruto's neck before slowly pulling Boruto's head down and getting on her toes and kissing the lips that she had missed so much
As Sarada captures his lips Boruto kissed back, a brief moment later they separated and looked at each other's eyes
"It's still early and the fact that u didn't sleep last night is pretty clear, and I miss sleeping in your arms" Said Sarada
Boruto chuckled and shook his head, "then let's try to get some sleep before yumi wakes up shall we?" Asked Boruto to which Sarada nodded
Boruto closed the door and locked it and followed Sarada to their room

Some of you wanted them to break up, other wanted them to get together, I hope I satisfied both parties on how it ended
