Chapter 2

Lukes P.O.V.

Why can I not stop thinking about her? I just met her, like a couple of hours ago. Usually I meet a girl, and then I get her number, I call her and we hang out a bit. I called Maddie, but I need to see her again. I can’t just sit here. I need to do something. What’s happening? I feel like I’m in some chick flick, with Ryan Gosling. I can’t just sit here! Think Luke, think. What would Ryan do? Ok, now this is getting weird.

“JAI!” I yelled.

He walked in the room looking at his phone, “What?”

“What’s Julia’s number?” I asked.

“Why do you want it?” He shot back, staring at me madly.

“Don’t worry you can have her, I need to ask her something about her friend.”

“Oh ok,” he said handing me his phone with Julia’s contact pulled up.

I copied down the number into my phone and texted her.

L: Hey Julia, its Luke, Jai’s twin. Um, can I ask you something about Maddie?

I got a reply about 5 minutes later

J: Hey Luke, and yeah what’s up?

L: Kind of long story, but what’s her address?

J: 62 moonlight crescent (:

L: Ok… and one more question, where is her window? Don’t think I’m creepy please.

J: Haha it’s the one closest to the road on the second floor, if you’re in the backyard. Don’t worry, you’re only a little bit creepy (:

L: Okay thanks so much J p.s. Jai likes you. GTG

I snuck out of the house later that night when everyone was asleep. Her street wasn’t far, about a 15 minute walk, including me getting lost down some random street.

It was 1:45 in the morning, I didn’t know why the hell I was doing this, it was like my body was just doing this and my mind wasn’t thinking. Oh well, I’ve got nothing to lose.

I saw her house and jumped her fence, and then saw the window Julia told me about. I saw a tree beside it and decided to climb it.

Maddies P.O.v

I laid in my bed not able to sleep. My whole family was asleep by now and I just laid there awake, staring at my ceiling. That's when I heard a tap at my window. I just ignored it thinking it was just a branch moved by the wind. But then I heard it again so I got up and walked over to my window. I moved the curtain and instantly jumped back with fright. It was Luke. Sitting on my window sill. I was not expecting him to be there. I opened my window

"WHAT ARE Y-"I cut myself off by covering my mouth with my hand realizing if my parents heard me yelling they would come in and see Luke there. Which they would not approve of.

"What are you doing here?!”I whispered this time.

"I just thought I’d stop by" he replied calmly.

"How did you get up here? How did you know where I lived?"

"I asked Julia. and I climbed this tree and jumped to your window.”

" you could have died!"

That jump had to be at least 4 feet long and 30 feet off the ground.

I was still in shock of Luke being in my window when he said:

" so....... Are we gonna go or what?" like it was obvious

"go where?!?" I replied confused

" I dunno, let's just go. “He said very innocently.

I didn't usually do things like this but something about Luke intrigued me and there were many things about him that confused me and questions I wanted answered. I was already screwed for tomorrow anyways considering it was 2 in the morning and I wasn't the least bit tired. I don't even know why but I said yes.

I threw on a hoodie and climbed out my window. Luke helped me by telling where to put my feet while climbing down the tree. After I got down we ran out of my yard and down the street we could finally talk not in hushed tones.

"What the hell am I doing “I asked him.

" having fun “he replied.

We arrived at a park about 4 blocks down. We sat in the middle of a filed and just talked.

“Why did you do this” I asked him

" there's something about you. I'm not sure what it is, but I just want more of it. I feel like I need to be with you. And this is crazy because I don't even know you. But I want to. And that's why I did this “he replied

He looked at me so deeply while saying that and something about him made me believe that something was driving us together. This wasn't some hookup between two people who just met. It was something much much more. When I looked into his eyes something just made me not want to stop. And every time he spoke I just wanted him to keep talking. I didn't even know you could feel this way about someone after just meeting them. But there was definitely something special between us.

We lay down and looked at the stars, talking about our lives. Getting to know each other. I learnt that he had a brother apart from his twin jai, named beau. I told him about my little brother Jake. He told me about how his brothers and him and 2 of their friends were a part of the Janoskians , which was a group from YouTube. I told him that my favorite movie was mean girls and that my favorite food was mangoes. He told me that he loved photography and that he loved to travel. I told him how much I loved my dog Sam.

We talked about anything and everything. It felt like within an hour, we knew everything about each other. It felt like we had known each other our whole lives.

" let's go" I said standing up

" go where “he asked

I grabbed his hand pulling him up ignoring his question and started walking. We walked for about 10 minutes until we got to the end of a street.
