Later
After form time, once everybody had introduced themselves, Patton stared at his new time table and noticed that his first subject of the year was Computer Science. Patton wasn't the biggest fan of more intelligent subjects such as maths and sciences since he preferred subjects where he could express himself. Subject in which there weren't any right or wrong answers. Subjects where he could just be himself without being judged by others. But nonetheless, he didn't moan or complain. After all this was an opportunity to make even more new friends and he didn't want to turn it down. Maybe he could finally find a place where he could be accepted.
He turned to Roman and Logan with a warm smile on his face. "So, what subjects do you guys have first?" He asked curiously.
"Maths" They both answered at the same time, Logan with a slight smile and Roman with a groan.
Patton's face immediately dropped. "Oh...I guess we're not in the same class then"
"Why? What subject do you have first Padre?" Roman asked curiously.
"Computer Science" He replied with a slight grumble before putting on a fake smile.
"Oh you'll love it" Jessie interrupted with a bright smile. "The teacher's great! Sure he can be a bit rude and sarcastic sometimes but that just makes him even better. Everyone loves him and I'm sure you will too. Come on. I'll take you to your first lesson Pat" She volunteered.
"Well thanks Jessie. That's really sweet of you" He smiled softly.
"Of course!" She then turned to Roman and Logan. "Bye guys! I'll catch you two later" They both waved goodbye as she led Patton out of the form room and towards the computing room.
"Well those guys seem nice" She commented.
"Yeah I guess so" He shrugged. Jessie frowned, seeing his upset expression and wrapped an arm around him reassuringly.
"Hey what's up kid?" She asked in a friendly manner, her voice laced with concern.
"It's just...I don't feel like a fit in..." He sighed.
"Why's that? You haven't even been here more than a day yet"
"I know but...everyone else already seems to already know people here and already have friends but I don't. The only person I know in this entire school is my brother and he's too cool to hang out with someone like me" A couple of tears trickled down his cheek but Jessie quickly wiped them away, pulling him into a tight hug.
"Oh Pat, I'm sorry to hear that" She sighed.
"It's fine" He shrugged. "You kinda get used to it after a while"
"Well I'll be your friend" She offered and he looked up at her hopefully.
"Really?"
"Of course! And I'm sure you'll make plenty of other friends"
"Thanks. I really appreciate that"
A few minutes later
Patton nervously stood outside the computing room just like all the other jittery year 7 anxiously waiting for their teacher to arrive. However, there was one boy in particular that caught Patton's eyes. That stood out to him. It was the boy wearing the purple hoodie, fidgeting with the ends of his sleeves. No matter how hard he tried, Patton couldn't shake the feeling that he knew him, nor could he take his eyes off of him.
Finally, their teacher arrived a few minutes late, wearing a plain black t shirt and blue jeans, his puffy, purple hair resting on top of his head. He stood in front of the line of students, who immediately looked up at him. When he spoke, his voice was surprisingly smooth yet the students could tell that he didn't particularly want to be there. But then again, no one really did.
"Hey you little brats. My name's Mr. Magenta and I'm gonna be your Computer Science teacher. Yay!" He said sarcastically (And yes he is based off of the printer character. Thank you CallistaF-B for that suggestion). "Right so I don't know any of you so you're all gonna be sitting in register order whether you like it or not. Understood?" Everyone nodded timidly. "Good. Now when I call your name, I want you to go inside and take your place"
Whilst waiting for his name, Patton still couldn't take his eyes off of the boy in the purple hoodie. He just found him so...attractive for some reason. And he still couldn't quit put his finger on how or where he recognised him from. That was until he heard the name "Virgil Hammersmith" being called and the boy in the hoodie quickly entered the classroom. Patton immediately froze in shock. It was him. The boy who bullied him for most of his childhood. He was here. He was here to finish what he had started...
