Trigger warning: Bullying, getting beaten up, mentions of blood and flirting with teachers

The three boys came out of their English lesson smiling and giggling. Over just one lesson, the three had already formed a tight bond with one another and anyone would think they had been friends for years when in reality, that couldn't have been further from the truth. In fact, until just a few hours ago, Patton had a completely different view on Virgil and didn't even know Luis. Patton used to view Virgil as some big, scary bully but now he realised that he was just a boy easily influenced by others. Patton on the other hand was not influenced by others so easily which made him an easy target of bullying in primary school and may have also explained his significant lack of friends. But things seemed different here. He was a lot happier and actually had friends for once. He smiled contentedly as he reflected on all of this and him and Luis took out their lunches. Virgil, however, just seemed to stare into space

Patton looked at him with concern glistening in his eyes. "Virge? You not eating anything?"

"Huh?" Virgil looked at Patton. "Oh no I am. I'm just waiting for Kitty. She said she'd buy me lunch. She can handle big crowds and people pushing and shoving a lot better than I can" He smiled softly, finding Patton's concern cute in a way.

"Are you sure? You can have my crisps if you want" Patton offered.

"Patton, I'm fine, honestly" He giggled. "I appreciate your concern though"

"No problem" Patton grinned just as Kitty came over with two pots of pasta and two plastic forks. She slid onto the bench Virgil was sitting on and smiled at the other two.

"Hey guys. How's your first day going?" She asked with a smile as she passed Virgil his pasta. "Oh here's your lunch by the way Virgey. I must warn you though, the canteen food's not that great"

"Thanks Kitty" Virgil smiled as he took the pasta. "It's been great thank you" He answered her question as he took a spoonful, well fork full, of pasta.

"That's good. I'm glad" She kissed his cheek just as he spat out his pasta, making retching noises and pushing it to one side.

"You're right. This is gross" He said with disgust as Kitty just giggled.

"Warned you" She giggled.

"Pat, I might need to take up your offer"

Patton giggled as he passed Virgil his packet of crisps. "Of course Virge"

Virgil thanked him as he wiped his mouth with a tissue before eating the crisps which tasted much better than the school's pasta.

"Anyways, how are you two?" Kitty asked Patton and Luis with a smile.

"Good" Luis replied shyly.

"Great thank you Kitty!" Patton beamed brightly. "Virgil's definitely made my day a lot better!" Virgil blushed lightly.

"Aww that's sweet" Kitty smiled. "Thanks for looking after Virgil for me. He was really worried about not having any friends but you've helped him so thank you"

"Kitty!" Virgil blushed, embarrassed as he playfully hit her arm.

"What?" She asked defensively.

"Of course! I was just as worried and Virgil's helped me a lot too!" Patton smiled, ignoring the other two.

Virgil's blush just darkened at hearing this so he looked away to avoid the others seeing his blush. When he did though, he noticed something that caught his eyes. A small boy, about their age, wearing a white top with a red jacket, his skin tanned and his hair dark brown, was on the floor with two older pupils towering him. It was a boy and a girl, both looking around year 9. The boy looked simular to the one on the floor, except he had a white streak in his hair and he wore a dark black top with a green jacket. The girl was taller than the boy and had light brown skin with dark brown curly hair. She wore black leather and looked very intimidating. The boy on the floor looked petrified and Virgil couldn't just ignore it. He quickly turned to the others.

"Um guys, somethings happening" He spoke nervously as he gestured to the scene. Everyone's eyes quickly moved to the three and Patton gasped whilst Kitty growled.

"Roman!" Patton gasped.

"Remus and Eliza" Kitty growled.

"Wait you know them?" Virgil asked the two.

"Unfortunately yes" Kitty huffed. "That girl, Eliza Borac, she picks on just about any kid she can. She's only year 9 but thinks she's the Queen B. I've had to save a lot of poor year 8s from her. She's so annoying" She huffed.

"And what about that guy?" Virgil asked, gesturing to the older boy who was now attacking Roman. Roman yelled for help as his body was being covered in bruises but nobody had the guts to step in.

"Oh him? That's Remus Prince. He's a proper weirdo and creep. Apparently he hits on all his teachers and often draws bloody pictures in lessons when he's bored. Him and Eliza are best friends and always terrorise people together. A right pain they are"

"Wait, did you say Prince?" Patton asked as he looked up at Kitty.

"Yeah, why?" She raised an eyebrow.

"That Remus guy is Roman's brother!"
