Derek got home by himself shortly after dinner came to an end. He was happy about his engagement. He wanted her to come back to the apartment to celebrate their engagement but during dinner she had made plans to go out with her girlfriends and celebrate instead. She didn't invite him to come along, like most things.

He was standing on the elevator thinking over dinner and how she had started to plan the whole wedding right then and there. He did attempt to talk to her about a future together but she blew over that by talking more about the type of house she wanted after the wedding. She wanted so,etching big and something fancy and something he couldn't afford. The only reason that he had bought that type of ring was because he had spent the last year scrimping and saving up for it.

The elevator got to his floor and it opened. He walked to his apartment with his hands in his pockets. His head was down because he was deep in his thoughts.

Derek got to his apartment. He pulled his key out of his pocket and unlocked the door. Derek opened it up and headed in closing the door behind him, "Hey Martin I'm back and I'm engaged," he called out into the apartment.

He didn't get a response. Derek sighed and then went to the table in the small kitchen. He took his phone out of his pocket and looked at it. He found that he got a text from Martin, "Hope all went well tonight, spending the night at Graces. Be back at the apartment tomorrow," Derek read it and saw that the text had been sent forty minutes ago.

Derek took his jacket off and sat down at the table. He pulled out his paper work from work and figured he would get some work done.
The next morning had come and the door to the apartment opened. It was Martin and he had a smile on his face. When he walked into the apartment he found Derek asleep at the table with his work stuff.

Martins smile disappeared. He walked over to the table and looked at him. He was out from what it looked like. He put a hand on Derek's shoulder, "Derek?" He started.

Derek sprung up, "I'm up!" He cried out.

Martin jumped back when Derek woke up, "Dude Are you alright?"

Derek rubbed his face in his hands, "Yeah I'm fine, it was just a long night."

Martin sat down in the other chair, "So How'd it go last night?"

Derek let out a sigh, "It was fine, she said yes."

"That sounds promising," Martin said.

"She said yes and she started planning the wedding right then and there," Derek checked his phone that he had left on the table and found five text messages from Victoria already,

"Good morning, meet me at town hall."

"We have to get the wedding date and things needed for it situated."

"We also have to house shop, I found one already."

"Derek?

"Derek is everything okay, just get to town hall as soon as you can!"

Derek read the text messages, "oh my lord, I'm going to go jump in shower and then leave before she blows up my phone some more," Derek said as he was putting all of his work back in the folder that he had.

Martin looked at him, "What's the matter?"

"Victoria's already blowing up my phone about the wedding," Derek responded.

Martin shook his head, "That's another reason I don't like her, she seems possessive."

"Well she's not," Derek told him, "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go shower."

"oh wait don't you want to tell me about your evening and how the engagement went?" Martin asked.

"Yeah can I tell you when I get back? How's Grace?" He asked as he was getting up from the table.

Martin smiled, "She's great she made me a beautiful dinner last night, and then we spent half the night talking and kind of snuggling in front the tv, obviously we spent the night together, and then we made breakfast together this morning before I came back here."

"Sounds like fun, hey can you make me a quick snack while I take a shower?"

Martin looked at him, "Yeah of course and oh last night was fun," Martin smirked.

Derek then got a smirk, "Good I'm glad," then he took off to the bathroom to shower.

After his shower and Martin prepared him his snack he headed out to town hall.

When he got there he found his fiancé waiting outside. She was wearing sunglasses to cover her eyes. He was slightly confused and a little aggravated, "Why are we doing this today?" He asked.

"I had the time to do it and I figured so did you, so were planning the date and getting the certificates today!" She snapped at him.

Derek sighed, "Okay."
